Seeing as very few of us have seen us play at the DW (wasn't our last appearance there a friendly in front of one man and his dog)? I would expect a decent turnout of Shrimps for a fairly local game. OK we are no world beaters (that's for sure) but we don't desert the club in their time of need.

We played at the DW in what they termed a “Taster” game, which was actually the week before the official opening game against Man U. Their history says that the game against Man U was the first but we were there the week before. Decent crowd that night too.
Drew 0-0 if I remember right??

Be loud, be proud! If we fall short so be it, not the end of the World. We re-group and go again next season!

That's right, we were helping Wigan to get their Stewarding/match operations right before the big day. Always seems to have been something of an affinity between our clubs, which goes back as far as the non-league days.

Strange that we can have a decent relationship with the Latics yet their near neighbours have left us with so many nasty memories. Hope Wigan put the final nail in their coffin for this season in their forthcoming game.

Despite our form, I'd be surprised if we take less than 1000+. Is it pay on the gate?

I was told that the Wigan chairman wanted the first goal scored in the new stadium to be a Wigan player, so a non-League side gave them a better chance of that than v Man Utd... ...

Most memorable part was the incredible downpour & lightening!
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

From't website -
Tickets will be available to buy in advance from Morecambe FC until Friday 18 March, 12 noon. Ticket sales on the day are available from windows 1-3, CASH only. Though, we encourage supporters to buy in advance from Morecambe FC to avoid any delays.

Have a look at the football league grounds website page for Wigan. You'll see a selection of Away supporter friendly places for a drink.

I'm starting off with the Moon under Water close to Wigan Wallgate train station, with a couple of random hostelries enroute to the DM.

Just noticed this on 'Latics website - There are no cash turnstiles in operation at the DW Stadium, which is now a cashless stadium.

Better take cash & card then! :?
