You can take out the games played by the teams below us. If any of them catch us, then we are going down anyway. I can't see us catching two teams above us while simultaneously dropping enough points for a team below us to get ahead.

So how did that work out then?

Couple of weeks ago if have agreed, but I don't know now - think I can see Gillingham or Doncaster running it close where a few weeks ago they looked 100% down. Wouldn't be shocked if Shrewsbury and Wimbledon got dragged in.

I agree, neither Doncaster or Gillingham are out of this yet. My point is, if either of them catch us, then we need to catch not one, but two of the teams currently above us. It is mathematically possible, but increasingly unlikely.

Provided we can start picking up some points it doesn't matter about the Gills and Donny getting some as well.

It brings the relegation places closer to a lot of other teams and means the bottom half of the league is all fighting relegation.

An excellent point for Shrewsbury though. Fleetwood continuing to lose is key to our survival.

I was looking at their collapse. What on earth is going on there? They are probably too far ahead to get dragged in to the relegation places, but who knows?

The bottom three's form is improving. Crewe, Doncaster & Gillingham have five wins between them, in their last five games [each]. The next three, us, AFC Wimbledon & Fleetwood haven't got a win between us in the same, combined, fifteen games. Perhaps I was too hasty to suggest that both us, and a team below us could escape the drop? I still think if we're caught from below, we won't get out, but AFC Wimbledon & Fleetwood are trying hard!

Shrewsbury may regret not working harder to get our game on, as the postponement may benefit us more than them. It may be the most important game coming up.

Yes what the heck is going on at Charlton? I thought they looked quite decent when they played us at the Mazuma and with their fans choice of manager installed expected them to climb towards the play offs .Maybe it's the old 'big club' syndrome. They are fine as long as they are fulfilling their fans expectations but drop off the pace slightly and the pressure really cranks up rapidly. I guess that can have the knock on effect of harming performances. Bradford and DA anyone? Just hope the poor form continues when we play them down there.
