I hope that there is no trouble at the return game but I wouldn't be surprised if the team coach and supporters coaches came in for some hostility both pre and post match.

A strong Police presence is required to counter any violence that may happen.

Let's hope that both sets of fans can support their respective team on the pitch but leave hostilities of the agenda.

The fans get behind the team, and in such an important stage of the season, why would you want to hand an advantage to that awful club?

As I said on Facebook, fans should attend the game, but not spend any additional money there. No programmes, no pies, nothing. Ticket in and that's it.

I think we all need to calm down and put things in proportion. Its a local derby and I see no reason why we can't take a good away following. They will be used to big teams, so security won't be an issue and I reckon our lads will be fired up and we might just get a famous victory.

its well Policed and its right off the motorway on a retail park with a big open car park with CCTV and no side streets to get ambushed.

Lots of fans have already bought tickets for this game (the planned game was Boxing day). If anything we should try and encourage our supporters to go, hopefully the trust/club can put on extra coaches, so our fans feel safer than driving or going on the train.

It is evidently going to be a hostile environment for our players, so having no Morecambe fans would make it worse.

GM Police will be aware of Bolton fans and the Reebok (or whatever it is called now) is well laid out, so away supporters can jump on coaches without seeing any home fans.

Bolton really are the nastiest bunch of supporters I've ever had the displeasure to come across. Really not surprised that they were attacking disabled and children after the game on Saturday. Easy targets for drunken scum. It's nothing new for them and I'll never forget that they stabbed a young Blackpool fan to death at Blackpool Bloomfield Road in the seventies. He was the same age as me at the time and it sends a chill down your spine to realise what they are capable of. You would like to think that in this day and age mass hooliganism was a thing of the past but it appears to be getting worse again.

That brings me on to the game at Bolton. In their last two games reports from that area give accounts of attacks on Cambridge and Sunderland fans. Sunderland had 5,000 there so what chance have we got??

Hopefully GMP are on the ball for our game and stamp on their hooligans good and hard. We like many others have tickets for the rearranged fixture but being exiles will have to drive in so not sure what's going to happen afterwards. After Saturday I actually hate the idea of giving that scummy club a penny of my money but we do need to support our club so I guess we'll put on our tin hats and crack on. Not a penny more for food and drink though and if we play them again at the Mazuma hopefully give them the absolute minimum amount of tickets we are allowed to.

If they'd tried to hold back that drunken mob they'd have gone over the pitch to our exits and real mayhem would have ensued. No way a few stewards would have stopped them. No problem being held back at their ground if it helps but GMP will have to be on the ball clearing the area afterwards before we come out.
