Toums

Sounds as though Toums changed the game for us last night which begs the question 'can we rely on Toums being the defensive shield week in and week out?'

For me the answer has to be No! Which then leaves us looking for a replacement in that position within the current squad. Maybe newcomer Wooton can do it but I feel we need to bring yet another newbie into the squad to fill such an important position.

Rather than bring in an additional forward would our excellent and tactical genius SR be better looking for such a defensive cover candidate knowing that Toums will not be able to play week in week out without getting injured or simply running out of steam.

When he runs with the ball it's like he is floating/shuffling along it looks effortlessly.

I agree I would have liked us to have gone all out and got an experienced DCM with lots of championship/league 1 exp but SR must see toums as that man and ome of the younger lads can step in if needed.

I'd imagine McGloughlin could fill in there?
