Covid Testing

Covid Testing

Postby Jack Poulton » Tue Jul 13, 2021 2:26 pm

Just a thought as the main season will be upon us soon. With Lancs. County Council insisting on Lateral Flow tests before entry to sports events, like Chorley on Saturday, will this apply to Morecambe FC? As the club is in Lancashire I am guessing so unless rules change. Good reason to transfer to Cumbria! :?

Good question...

After the confusion of the new requirements are following another piece of Boris Bollocks, I think that all Lateral Flow test will no longer apply after the 19th which means that the Blackpool game will be as normal....whatever that is these days...and as a Tory you would think i would give my support to Boris Bollocks on his Covid dictates....no chance.

It just seems that these decisions are left to the Health Directors for individual Counties. Having seen both the officials for Lancashire and Cumbria on TV they tend to be a bit defensive. Unfortunately Morecambe gets sucked in to what is happening in Blackburn/Burnley etc. Hopefully the rule won't apply by then, but if it does it will take some organising!

I'm yet to try this, but I believe you can do it via the app and get sent an email confirming that you can show.

If you provide a lateral flow test, online you can stipulate one or both email or text message. So you can prove by text on your phone you are clear.

So I have never done a test before am I right in thinking you log on, put the barcode of the test kit in and say what the result was and I should then get a text/email.

Do we know if kids are exempt for needing to do a LFT for Chorley? If not then do I need to set up 2 NHS accounts and get 2 different emails etc?

How do we get results sent to us via email or text if the results are negative

I have only seen a way of getting it or reporting this if it’s positive

Some lucky folks on here, i've been doing 2 tests a week since beginning of March. Get free test kits from local pharmacy. Follow the instructions. Search report covid test. You can report a result for yourself or others. Lot easier to set up an account then you don't have to enter your details everytime. You log your result then it sends you confirmation of the result. I used one of these confirmations as proof of negative test at the seffon park pilot event in May.

Hope this helps

Cheers Lurchy I’ve done it now

Are we going to have to do this for league and cup games

If for example the game is on a Saturday we would have to do a test Thursday or Friday is that correct

Chorley are saying within 48 hours, the event I'm going to on Friday night want the test doing Friday afternoon...
At least one test will cover both events
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

Did my test at home today.
Very simple to report the result on the website that it points you to in the booklet.

You get a text & Email confirming they have your result.
I have the NHS app on my phone (Not the Track&Trace/COVID 19 one, the one with prescriptions and appointments) so the result came through on that and gave me an NHS Covid Pass that is valid for 2 days with a QR Code. This also came with the option to download it as a pdf in case I wanted to print it out.

Not sure how much of all that is necessary to show to satisfy Chorley/Council but it is there if they want it.

Would have thought that proof of having a double jab was just as good and think that the authorities are going overboard with their insistence of proof of a lateral flow test which isn't that accurate.

Just hope that as from Monday such proof to go to a football match will no longer be necessary and if it is then their is a question as to its lawfulness and could cause complications at entry to games.

I went to the Workington game with no requirements to having a post match test.

I've done 6 lateral flow test to date and all have been negative.

Shrimps Official twitter have posted an update to the Chorley match info. Proof of a negative test is now 'advised' not 'required' for supporters age 12 and over.
