Croatia v Spain commentator

Croatia v Spain commentator

Postby redrobo » Mon Jun 28, 2021 4:49 pm

I've had to turn the sound off this game as the female commentator is really getting on my wick.

Hardly a second goes by where she is analysing the game by passing comment on numerous observations.

I'm all in favour of female commentators at games but this particular one is so opinionated that the only way I can watch the game is without sound.

Emma Hayes - manager of Chelsea Women.

Quite comfortably the best co-commentator about this tournament, providing insightful and thorough analysis rather than your usual truism riddled tripe from grumpy ex-pros.

She has a proper good and knowledgeable footballing brain. Listen to her, and you might learn a few things!

Is the issue her opinions or her gender?

If the former, what has her gender got to do with it?

She was far better than the usual tripe spoken by the usual commentators.

I mean wow, just wow. You’ve set the record high for talking absolute nonsense over the years but this might just be right at the top. A co-commentator that actually knows what they are talking about. Maybe that’s why you can’t understand what she’s saying.

Sorry Neil I have to disagree

Emma Hayes is fantastic and very knowledgable

All the women coming through are doing a great job …long may it continue in my opinion

Not disputing that she knows her stuff, just for me she has too much to say..... :( but obviously some on here like her non stop input....each to their own. :)

A difference of opinion is fine...no need for some to throw their toys out of their cot.....

Emma Hayes and Ally McCoist have been hands down the best co-commentators this tournament. As much as Robbie Savage adds a comedy element with his lack of knowledge for... well... anything, if you want to actually sit down and watch the full 90 I’d rather listen to a blender.

Well, although RR comes out with the same old stuff, I think SV's would be a lot duller without him

I'm very sorry, i clearly don't understand, but could you explain to me why if you don't want people to read your posts, or comment on them, why are you posting in the first place?

Because that's the sub-text! The problem isn't that she played for England or knows anything about football, it's that she's a woman and they talk to much. Just like saying " if you don't like my posts, don't read them ".
By that rationale, you could spray " ********** GO HOME!!!" on every wall in Britain and if someone reads it and "gets offended" , it's there fault for reading it, simple. No need for any anti hate speak legislation or campaigns etc, " I can write what I like and it's your fault if you take umbridge ".
I'd like to think the world is moving no matter how slowly to more inclusive societies, but it will always be at a very slow pace until all the dinosaurs are extinct.
