I think most of us suspected it was coming. The lads been absolutely amazing, I'm expecting big things out of him.

Good luck to the lad, a real talent and appears to be a really nice bloke. I hope he's really happy and Luton is a stepping stone to even bigger things.

James Wakefield said; "He is a player with an incredibly bright future..."

Hopefully that means we've got a really good sell on, and other clauses :D :D :D It is a shame that transfer fees are always "undisclosed" now. It would be interesting to know how close our speculation was to the actual fee?

It's sad that he's leaving but it's good for his progression and the club's bank balance.

At least at Luton, he still has that connection to Morecambe.

Best of luck Carlos.

All very positive.

Wishing Carlos all the best for his future career.

He deserves this opportunity to further his ambitions with a Championship club.

We all knew it was going to happen one day so here's hoping that he develops into the player we all know he can become.

Best of luck Carlos. Thank you for the memories and it's fitting that your final act as a Shrimp was to score the goal that got us the promotion we all knew was possible.

Will look out for you in the seasons to come.

Interesting that Luton say the deal was made possible by their fans donating their season ticket money back

Cracking move for him, and fingers crossed it's a good deal for the club like has been stated on site!

He was always off, so I'm just glad we could get some money for him and that it's to a club like Luton. They've got a good recruitment department, so will have done their homework on Carlos to make sure he's a good fit. Rather that than some club that likes him just because he scored a few goals and has a nice highlight reel.

Hopefully they'll develop him well - would be great to see him kick on further as a player, and obviously any sell-on would be welcomed!

Was a pleasure watching him play for us, good luck Carlos!

It's good news and I think everybody comes out of it well. The Club have done well on a few fronts in my eyes. The original deal with the option to extend was a masterclass and after losing top players for peanuts and on free's for years shows we have Directors with business brains. Actively looking to sell Carlos this summer knowing fine well he will be off on a free next summer was the right thing to do. Carlos has signed with an agency so his advisors would have moved him on. JW mentions how the club have tried to do a deal with a club with Carlos' interest at heart rather than flog him to the highest bidder.

Luton mention how good a club we were to deal with and Nathan Jones speaks fantastically about Carlos and clearly they showed genuine interest in the boy and his family.

Carlos deserves this chance not only because he is a top class footballer but also because he has worked his nuts off for it. I hope he shines brightly and i hope he knows how much we all wish him well.

Not quite one of our own but definitely an adopted son!

I don't think JW said we hadn't flogged him to the highest bidder. Maybe we flogged him to a club who had Carlos's interest at heart and who was the highest bidder ;)

A pity, but inevitable. Hopefully, but I'm sure it will be a good deal. Not the work starts to find the perfect replacement.

I think the assumption for SR since he came in will have been that CMG won't be part of his squad. I doubt he will have ever had him in his plans for the team.

It's a new manager with a new style. He won't be directly replaced, it's more a case of building a new team out of the players we have and new signings.

bang on, no saying CMG would of cut it in L1 even though Luton took a gamble on him.
