Impressed so far

Impressed so far

It's always best to pass judgement on new management teams and new players until the season starts BUT I've been very impressed in how SR has conducted himself and managed to get out of contract players to sign new deals to date.

I now look forward to seeing what new players he can attract to OUR club. I've a feeling that new additions will be more technically minded to suit the requirements of EFL1 which is a different level of football than EFL2.

No doubt in the weeks to come we will see an influx of SR's type of player in all areas of the pitch.

How impressed are we all now ? Another player I would have expected to follow D.A. Don't know what Steve Robbo is saying but to keep hold of Kyle Letheren. Solid base for a D3 squad slowly building.

Songo'o was always going to follow DA, especially since Bradford lack a good defensive midfielder. I think Toums was more up in the air as Bradford already have good options like Watt/Sutton/Cooke as ball playing midfielders. I think Bradford are ok for goalkeepers so I wasn't particularly expecting Letheren to move there either.

Obviously I'm delighted about Letheren/Toums, but for me the really big statement is Stockton. It was quite heavily reported by actual journalists (not just tat from Bradford fans on Twitter) that DA was after him. We know how much DA likes Stockton ("I love him to bits") too, so keeping hold of him is the big statement to Bradford and DA to f*ck off!

I have a feeling O'Sullivan will be announced tomorrow, along with our first incoming transfer.
