Not saying I'd welcome it, but the clubs that crashed down through the leagues generally over-spent chasing success, then the failure hit hard. I trust that we will continue to be fiscally prudent. What may happen is if we come down, we're in a strong position to go back up, basically a yo-yo club for a few seasons. I'd take that. Obviously, I'd refer fifth from bottom or above, but not too worried. Unlike a few seasons ago, where we were more worried about existing from week to week!

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Yo-yo club would be good as it would keep the adrenalin flowing!

As much as our relegation record is something to be proud of, I do look at Norwich etc and think "ooh might be fun"

Walking the league one year, then crashing back down the next but at least there are a few good away days to go with it! And repeat.

Bet our new manager isn't even thinking of relegation. For me consolidation as an EFL1 club will do as a starter and then build on that.

Entertaining football is what we all want and despite what DA has given us it hasn't been that entertaining with a few close calls that could have gone either way.

Somehow can't see the Bratford lot liking DA's tactics and his bubble could burst within 6 months.

Depends what you call entertainment. I've always found a team scoring lots of goals entertaining. We had the 4th highest goals scored in League 2. You've moaned about our defence letting in too many goals and want us to to keep it tight at the back whilst playing attacking football. Very few teams can do both.
Surely a team scoring on the break can be entertaining?

Yes, I'm with you! Under pressure, then scoring and winning has been great fun! 23% Possession and winning 2-0 is fine by me! Mind you, RR is quite a few years older than me. If I was his age, I'd be worried about my heart!

Created the most chances in the league, and scored plenty of last minute point-winners! If that’s not in any way entertaining then I don’t know what to say!

You don’t half talk rubbish RR. I think you just think the opposite of reality all the time because you know nothing about football.

This season has been the most exciting. We have had more entertaining games under Derek than under the whole tenure of Jim (slight exaggeration but I have massively enjoyed this season, despite not being physically there).

Everybody has an opinion but for me the new manager has an opportunity to bring his own style of football to our club which will be different than that of DA.

Not entertaining? we Sh*t housed our way out of League 2 and it was a joy to behold! Even know we weren't there this season, it was by far the most entertaining we have had since Sammy Mac!

We were one of the highest teams in the league for the number of chances created. We've just done the unthinkable and got promoted to League 1.

Are you ever happy? Jesus wept. You need to get out more.

One of your worst takes and you have plenty of contenders for that title.

Too right....

I'm looking forward to the next installment of the rebirth of our club after too many years looking down.

A change in manager brings with it a change in style. We'll never know if DA's style would have been a success in EFL1 but one thing we do know simply by watching a few ERFL1 games it's certainly quicker and more technical than what we've been used to and is certainly more entertaining.... :!: :!: :!:
