If anyone bothered to chat to anyone at the club or venture a phone call (it’s been relatively quiet on the phones this afternoon) I believe you would find that coach travel is being sorted, they aren’t advertising it as there are limited spaces as it’s one person, two seats.
So try calling instead of moaning, it’s like a bunch of bloody kids on here at times!!
Now get your homework done or you can’t watch next week!! :D

It's not often that I disagree with Freez but on this subject I think the club should have posted something about travel....long before now. I'd even suggest that something should have been posted prior to Sunday so that when we got through fans intending on going should have been made aware of that travel arrangements were in hand.

I can't understand why the club didn't make tentative arrangements with a local coach firm (after all Travelers Choice transport the team) before the Tranmere game. If they did then I apologize.

And as for phoning the club for details, the club have had enough on their hands with ticket allocation, so a post on the OWS or this Forum would have helped.

Newport seemed capable of organizing travel as no doubt were Blackpool for their play off game v Lincoln.

It's quite simple, I can remember the Club years ago stating the hassles with insurance costs and responsibilities, duty of care etc.when they arranged the Barnet coaches.

Loads of people are on the fans page, even ones that dont go to games, they are aware of Charlies coaches and technology plus word of mouth soon gets round, my phone has never stopped, as many others.

I do find it strange, Neil, how you are going to town on this (or not  ) when you arent going so dont need transport ;)

I have got to agree with Freez here. Grown men whinging that somebody hasn't sorted travel out for them. I know of at least one group of fans that were proactive and sorted out a minibus and lots others have sorted hotels.

Maybe the club could have been on the front foot and told people of the lack of travel but I bet they have been working with Charlie to get coaches and stewards etc. The Trust have also been trying to sort things out and they are a band of volunteers.

I put on here that coaches were going from the Boardwalk on Sunday, i even put where to find them online. Sit on your arse and moan or do whatever you can to get there.

And by looking on Twitter and following a couple of Blackpool supporters groups, they have had exactly the same issues that we have had with Tickets and Coaches. Don't forget that they go a day before us and will be looking at the same firms as us. Driving hours, sanitizing the coaches and other things will hinder them being able to do the same the following day.

Maybe I care that our club could get slated for not being proactive. But you are quite right I'm not going but that doesn't stop me from thinking about others who MAY be having problems and will at the first opportunity have a pop at the club...and yes I've had a pop but it's only because I care that some fans may not be aware of travel arrangements....nowt wrong with that in my opinion

I've had my say so that's an end of it....

I agree 100% with redrobo on this one. It would only take the club a matter of minutes to state that MFC is not running/organising transport to Wembley and then inform supporters that the Boardwalk is. Finished/done end of story, didn't take long ,did it? Lot's of supporters bang on about lack of communication/information that comes out of the club and redrobo is right on this one, stop getting on his back guys, starting to look like the old bullying brigade is back.

Still loads of train options. 3 from Lancaster between 8.00 & 9.00 and return at 18.37 or 19.40. £105 or 30% discount with a Railcard. Easy journey from Euston to Wembley Park. Check Avanti website.

BH, Neil knows I'm pulling his leg, agree that it would be easier with a bit more info to save everyone asking the same questions

I think we all agree that the club could have released some info about travel but weighing in heavy on them publicly is not the way to go about it.

Nobody is bullying anyone, my post was stating the truth. It’s easy for people to criticise without even trying to learn the facts, that’s all. It was a point made about people moaning without investigating what they were moaning about? It only takes one and some others joined in. It comes across as lazy and entitled to me.
If you ring the club, I’m sure they will take your money and book you on a coach. Today is Tuesday, the final is next Monday, I’ve posted it, mainly as I’ve been down today and yesterday and the club staff are working their arses off trying to help people.
Maybe it is an oversight that they haven’t specifically come on here or online and advertised a coach,I don’t know, but anyone who has been anywhere near the club in the past couple of days will have seen them in at 7am and still in last night at 9pm. Same again today.
There are only 4 of them, that’s it, 4 people!!
And there are still 6 days to go, tomorrow they are expecting bedlam as the tickets go on sale, with, as we know, the difficult to comprehend and operate Ticketmaster system which the end user is struggling with, and consequently the club are getting the backlash. So tomorrow, when they go on general sale, could be interesting, but ring and book the coach, there is plenty of time.
Enjoy the feeling, and can we try and get on with one another, we are going to Wembley!! ;)
This is my opinion, I’m not bullying anyone, feel free to disagree, but a lot of what I have posted is the facts! No offence intended!

How did the club sort out selling 10/11000 tickets and coach seats back in 2007 ? Its hard to understand how difficult our fans are finding it to sort tickets/transport this time. I thought things had progressed since then. Not blaming the club in anyway, its a shame that people are getting stressed out with all this

Was talking to a Blackpool fan today she paid for 4 tickets but only seems to have got 3 and none of them are together. Its not just us having problems.

It’s a good point, back in 07 we took just less than 12,000 to Wembley, we all queued up at the portacabin at Crusty Pie and bought them with cash, cheque or bankers cheque.
Not having to be given a code and fart about on the internet isn’t progress really, is it?? :?

2007 they probably had 20000 tickets to sell so no scramble and plenty for everyone, we are in a pandemic, if this was 2 months ago, probably only 10 people could have witnessed the game 'live'

Surely it’s only progress if the new technology works, this ticket buying fiasco definitely borders on regression.

Don’t get me started again, I’ve only just calmed down enough to post the final prediction thread, the table will have to wait until tomorrow.

Just been at the Mazuma Stadium. One of the Directors was at reception dealing with queries. They are waiting for Rod Taylor to come in to update them about the possibility of Club Coaches. However, they are (rightly) giving top priority to sorting out issues to do with fans obtaining match tickets. As others have said, they have very limited staff at the Club to deal with everything. I got the impression it is not proving easy to sort out Club Coaches. The Boardwalk have already ordered 20 coaches.

They said there would definitely be an announcement some time today about Club Coaches - either giving details or stating that the Club will not be laying coaches on. So keep an eye on the OWS!

Charlie Edwards post about coaches, lol

Couple of FAQs about the coaches
1. Can we sit together?
Everyone will be allocated a coach number they will be travelling on. I’m ringing every booking on Friday to make sure that everyone who booked together is sitting together and happy.
2. Can we not have a rowdy coach?
We are going to run specific quiet or family friendly coaches, and on the call I will ask whether you want to be placed on one of those!
3. Can we have a rowdy coach?
See answer number 2, and say no when I ask
4. I can’t go and need a refund.
No problem, if you booked on Eventbrite follow the instructions on the website. If you paid in cash call into the pub or message me and we will sort
5. Can I get the coaches one way?
Yes of course but PLEASE LET US KNOW SO WE ARENT WAITING FOR YOU!
6. Will the Boardwalk be open when we get back?
Yes
7. Are there toilets on the coach?
Yes. Please be aware that the drivers will need a 45 minute break on the way too.

No news from the Club about offical Club Coaches - am thinking now that there aren't going to be any.

Glad I booked on the Boardwalk coaches now!

I was going to hold out for club coaches hoping there would be some from Lancaster but the lack of news from the club has been a bit worrying so I ended up booking Boardwalk yesterday.

Obviously the club are not organising coach travel to Wembley... And to be honest I can understand why given the additional restrictions that would've been placed upon them. Perhaps Freez was misinformed earlier in the thread, or got the wrong end of the stick with transport specifically for club staff/media rather than the general public!?! Who knows.

Neil has a valid point here. I've proactively made my own plans as must everybody else who is going, but, initially at least, some people have waited for an announcement from the club regarding organised travel.... Not because they expect the club to do everything for them (including cleaning ones arse), but because the club advised that there would be one. So far this hasn't been forthcoming, and possibly won't arrive at all. It's just bad communication.

Appreciate everybody is busy, but realistically how long does it take to let your own fans know that the club is not formally organising transport??? Instead advising that the Boardwalk is (well done Charlie Edwards), and point them in that direction advising of a discount for MFC season ticket holders?!?

Yes, apparently the club have been forwarding the enquiries to the Boardwalk as they have all the coaches boxed off!!
So they were trying but were beaten to it!!
Good effort from Charlie tbf.

Spot on RRW. And Freez is right that the club seemed to be indicating that they were putting on coaches - I rung them a couple of days ago and a slightly confused (and probably overwhelemd) person on reception told me that they were hoping to get coaches on, and to expect an announcement hopefully that evening.

I totally understand that the club weren't able to organise coaches with all the other things they were having to sort out with ticketing etc and the relatively small staffing they have. However, a quick statement on the website clarifying the situation and recommending other places to book like with Boardwalk would have been very helpful.

Thanks little Shrimp, I was told that the club were trying to sort coaches on Monday afternoon, but obviously things escalated quickly and lack of supply, with 25 people on a 52 seater, has affected the situation.
Hope everyone got sorted!
