“I follow Priority Window.”

Postby thedoc » Sun May 23, 2021 11:49 pm

I received not just one but two emails from the club last night. The first one asked me to click on a link and this was the result:
Server Error in '/lct2' Application.
The resource cannot be found.

So I decided to open the second email. This one seemed to work. It asked for the usual details – name; gender; date of birth; blood group (I lie) etc and then suggested I should use an automatically generated password to this access this new circle of existence. So I did, assured that Ticketmaster would remember it automatically. But guess what? They were lying... They sent me an email to activate this new account. I clicked on the link. And was immediately locked-out. This message appeared:
There are errors on the page
Your account is already active. Please use forgotten password to retrieve your details from your e-mail address.

So I clicked this as well. This happened next:
We're Sorry!
There has been an unexpected error. Please return to Ticket Home to browse again. If the problem persists please contact customer service.
Return to Ticket Home

I despair. I missed yesterday’s game because I couldn’t get a ticket. Looks like it’s going to happen again because the deadline is today.
What’s going on?

The password auto fill/suggestion is usually a feature of your web browser. Sites generally won’t be suggesting this. I get the same (I use Chrome) - it suggests a password and then your web browser saves it to auto fill when you’re back on that site. Kind of like a password master tool if you’ve ever used that kind of thing.

If you’re now struggling to get in, might be that you locked yourself out trying to remember the password. Usually you’re best off contacting customer services at this point.

Thanks for that. I tried to re-connect just now but literally the second I accessed the ticket site, this message flashed-up:

“We're Sorry!
Your session has now timed out. Please return to Ticket Home if you wish to start browsing through the ticketing site again.
Return to Ticket Home”

So I did. And got this message:

“Client reference is not valid.”

It then suggested I reset my password. You can’t: you need to know what the old one they have so thoughtfully set-up and `remembered’ for you – and I obviously don’t. So – final option: you can go to the ticket office. And this appears:

“CONTACT US
HOW TO CONTACT MORECAMBE FC
CLUB CONTACT DETAILS
Tel: 01524 411797.
Email: playoffs@morecambefc.com"
Supporters should note that if they email, they are not guaranteed a response due to the large volume of emails expected. The best way is to phone or visit the club in person.”[color=#FF0000]

“There’s a hole in my bucket, dear Lisa, dear Lisa...”

So that’s another half an hour of my life I won’t get back. Why didn’t they just ask you to do that in the first place? What’s the hell’s the point of setting up a system that clearly doesn’t work?

“Little old Morecambe” strikes again...

Do you use Chrome, Doc? If so, there should be three little dots in the top right hand corner of your screen. Click on this and it'll bring up a menu, which should have 'Settings' on it.

Go on 'Settings', and it will bring up a page with a few categories down the left hand side. There should be one for 'Autofill', so click on here and select the 'Passwords' category that comes up on the page.

You should be able to find a list of saved autofill passwords there, so fingers crossed that can work for you and you can find the Ticketmaster one.

Password resets should never require you to remember your old password as that would make it pointless. Go back on the main page (https://www.eticketing.co.uk/lct2/) and then click 'Sign In' in the top right. That'll bring up a little box asking for sign in details.

Underneath the password box, there should be 'Forgot your login details?' in blue writing. Click on here and it just asks for your customer number, which will be on your initial email.

Apologies if this comes across patronising^. These issues do crop up but they usually are solvable, just takes stopping for a minute and carefully following a few steps.

Thanks again Little Shrimp: very sound advice. I do use Chrome but the password I was given was generated by the ticket site, not them. Now it doesn't recognise it. Can't recover it; can't change it. I have the same problem with my HMRC account. Their advice was far less clear than yours - but it doesn't work. And that really was patronising... They send me a paper tax return now instead. Sometimes you can't win (although don't say that to Derek Adams because he will immediately put you straight about such pessimism and negativity - thank god...) I'm going to visit the club shop later and buy a ticket over the counter. Yea Technology!!!!

As predicted, I went to the shop earlier - so did lots of other supporters who are in the same boat and some of whom got much further down the line to buy a ticket before their application was either rejected or timed-out for `lack of online Action’. Despite what Ticketmaster told me, the shop don't have any physical tickets to sell you. I actually felt sorry for the grey-haired lad - Graham I think - who was having to deal with masses of people in the same boat as me. I bet he could do with a stiff drink tonight. He’s been hung out to dry by the club in my opinion. The way this has been mismanaged is almost laughable. As far as I am concerned, it’s in the lap of the gods now: if they don’t contact me as promised; I won’t go: I’ve wasted enough time online and doing what Ticketmaster suggested already. At least I can see some symmetry there: the match I personally REALLY wanted to see was yesterday’s. Missing the Wembley game as well would just mean that I have missed all the fixtures this season – which is memorable in itself I suppose; albeit for all the wrong reasons. What a shambles though – what an absolute farce. Do you imagine they are having the same problems at Newport?...

Yes, they are

Somebody else got me a ticket (I'm almost sure.....) on their attempt, so if you're still suffering tomorrow I'll have a go getting one for you. Message me.

Thanks for that Mr Bum – and it was great to see you on Sunday even though I felt absolutely green with envy that you’d been to possibly the club’s most significant home game ever and which I couldn’t get a ticket for. I’ve felt even worse ever since because every Shrimps supporter I have met since (loads of them) were at the match as well. If so-called i-Follow Priority had been in place then, I would have been among them: it’s too late now: it should have been thought of at the time. Anyway – I looked at the Newport link and they seem to have different issues: no emails to `priority’ fans from the club and no kids’ tickets. The problem at Morecambe is that the links to the Ticketmaster site just don’t work. It’s pathetic. Thanks for the kind offer of trying to get me a ticket but I’m going to leave it in the lap of the gods. As I said before, there is a sort of symmetry in this. I’d love to go to Wembley for a third time to watch the Shrimps but if it doesn’t happen, I won’t be anything like as disappointed as I am that I wasn’t able to attend on Sunday. I hope you’ve got a ticket for the game; I hope that you and yours enjoy it and I also hope that it goes without saying that I want Morecambe to win, however pissed-off I personally feel at the moment.

I am a God and I do have laps.

It really is no problem to have a go. I looked last night and as soon as I realised I needed to remove my email address and replace with my account number, I was in to the ticket purchase page.
