O/T Tragic incidents

Terrible week locally with two young children losing their lives
1 in a gas explosion last night in Heysham and 1 struck by lightning just near me in Blackpool

Please guys when you are moaning and crying about not getting a bloody play off ticket grow up and think of these two young children and how they tragically lost their lives

More to this world than football... Please remember that

Life is far more important than arguing about lack of tickets for a football match.

Some folk really should take a look at themselves.

If this post has caused offence then that was not my intention and therefore i apologize and have enormous sympathy with the families for these tragic incidents.

Terrible tragedies both of them and huge sympathies to all the families involved.

I managed a team, Bowerham Juniors, a couple of times at Clifton Juniors and they’re a great club, which will be devastated by the loss of one of their players. As for the Heysham incident, it’s great to see the response of the City Council to setup emergency evacuation facilities and help the community, as well as businesses offering support.

Just a comment though, please don’t conflate two entirely unrelated events to instruct people how to think and enforce your version of morality. Your post would have been eminently better if it just stuck to the sad tragedies in Heysham and Blackpool, and allow people to share their thoughts.

Instead it immediately provoked the ‘sick bucket’ inducing reply that said nothing of dignity about the young children but focused on castigating fellow supporters with its fake holier than thou attitude.

P.S. A Go Fund Me page has been setup to support the residents affected at Mallowdale Avenue. After only a few hours it has exceeded its initial target. A great reaction from the community. https://gofund.me/ffc2e442

Agree. Any chance to have some sort of a dig at people. It’s like celebrating a goal and someone turning around and saying, “Why are you celebrating? There’s kids dying of starvation in this world.”
These both were tragic incidents and I wish the families the best.

Posh is spot on. There was no need to link the two at all.

My heart goes out to the poor families in Heysham and Blackpool, i can not begin to understand the pain they are feeling.

What a shame to have linked the two things together. Kind of made it about tickets as opposed to the tragic loss of life.
