Then I refreshed and got a "match ticket" box on screen which I pressed, but then got a blank screen. Logged out and in again and now #791. What a cock up by the club.

Very unclear system - I too ended up on the replica kit page after queuing for an hour, and refreshed to get a match ticket box......ended up pressing this about 3 times and eventually got to the application form and managed to buy a ticket for the Berlin Wall. Having got that far it wasn’t that obvious how to download the ticket to my phone either....the whole experience was clear as mud and I only succeeded more by good luck than management!

The excuse about not enough time to plan is also unwarranted. Let's be honest, we have been pretty nailed on for a playoff spot for months, and very likely when the EFL moved the dates to after 17th May deliberately so some fans could attend, that we would have to have some.system in place. Piss poor planning yet again.

I have tickets for behind the goal but obviously would prefer to be on the Berlin Wall. Are the terrace tickets going to be strict on where you stand or could you pick any of the 3 stands?

They will have designated numbers for each terrace, so wont want people moving from one to another, unless everybody changed ends at half time

ID needed with all tickets though, i'm also behind the goal but hoping that on season tickets it always said behind goal but also counted for Berlin wall side.

On behalf of the club we are sincerely sorry that the race for tickets was such a scramble and we’re especially sorry that so many fans have missed out, many of whom have supported the club through thick and thin. Yes there were time, resource, restriction and data related challenges, but the last thing that anyone wanted was for there to be a sour taste left come this afternoon, no matter the fact that there simply weren’t enough tickets.

All I can say is that lessons have been learned and we’ll do our level best to improve. By all means direct any frustration, anger or disappointment my way on here. Many of the staff have worked incredibly hard this week, and other board members have had all sorts of curve balls thrown their way that mean they really don’t deserve any criticism.

Please share this apology with others not on here. We need every single Shrimps fan’s support to achieve what we’re trying to achieve over the next few years, and everyone needs to know that we’re sorry when we get things wrong.

Thanks for coming on here and putting your head above the parapet James.

Why is our attendance so low? The government 'roadmap' states:

"The government will also allow some larger performances and sporting events in indoor venues with a capacity of 1,000 people or half-full (whichever is a lower number), and in outdoor venues with a capacity of 4,000 people or half-full (whichever is a lower number)".

We've got a capacity of 6,000, so in accordance with the government roadmap, we could have up to 3,000 people attend. Even if we didn't go that far, 2,200 would have made a huge difference.

I'm sure there must be a reason, the club would want to maximise income and disappoint as few people as possible, I just can't see what that reason would be?

Isn't the fa Cup final today only about 25% capacity? Probably current health and safety regulations which I think are due to change on Monday.

It would take a War and Peace-length answer to explain how ground attendances are being calculated, but rest assured every club, including MFC, has wanted any permitted attendances to be as high as possible at the various times that restriction-loosening has occurred this past year. It’s depressing how much time, effort and resources have been ploughed into writing and re-writing protocols and plans, only for the goalposts to move and for the whole process to be started again. Like everyone we are itching to get back to the challenge of filling the full capacity of the stadium, rather than trying to work out what to do next with no clarity or certainty that the efforts of those at the club attempting to interpret the changing guidance won’t be wasted.

I obviously won’t say bring on next season, as we have the playoffs, a cracking team and some fans coming back to the stadium at long last. However, it’s fair to say we’re crossing our fingers for a return to normality, along with everyone else!

Sorry Keith but that is totally out of order in my opinion.

Tranmere have a ground capacity of 16567 so by your calculation they should have a gate of 4140 for they game. In reality they have been restricted to 3400 I understand. If I'm wrong then my apology,,,,

FGR have provided no details about maximum capacity whilst Newport have been granted Test Status by the Welsh Government but no capacity details have been released to date.

Newport have been allowed 900 fans according to their forum. I suppose that we should be glad that we have quite a few more attending. Hope every last one of ours are ready to make some noise.

FGR fans are allowed to go to Newport for their game according to the FGR web site.

It appears to me that there are different rules depending on who is giving the instructions.

If that's the case, then it is probably something to do with the match being given test status.

It is a test event... because they have more season ticket holders than the 900 they are allowed they had a ballot for the free tickets to the lucky season ticket holders

It would probably be less "out of order" if you actually read my post properly, as it is quoting the UK government.

Tranmere could have a maximum of 4,000 fans attend. They've chosen to have 85% of the available capacity.

Morecambe could have (according to the UK government), 3,000. We've 'chosen' [or been forced] to have about 50% of the government advised availability.

I asked, politely, why this was the case and received a polite response. It was a question, nothing more.

Wembley this Saturday, FA Vase final 1500 tickets per club

Saturday 22nd, FA Trophy final 3000 tickets per club

This could be the 2nd scramble of the month

Tranmere had just 333 tickets for open sale this morning, looks like their fans actually get an arrival time for the game and need a negative test

Last week at Wembley we were only allowed just over 3k fans in, there was no alcohol on sale, we were harassed by over zealous stewards and had to follow strict restrictions. This week at Edgbaston, they have thousands in, drinking, no masks and no social distancing. What has happened in just over a week?
