Superb to see Songo back in the starting line up. :) :) :)

DA on Radio Lancashire would not make any comment about what action if any the FA could take next Wednesday where Songo has requested a personal hearing to give his side of the charge.

Respect DA for not commenting to the Media on the matter.

Still no statement from the club though despite saying they'd make a statement once they received the referee's report? It really doesn't sit right with me that we'd start a player accused of homophobia without any statement on the matter. That statement could be as simple as saying Songo'o will contest the charge if he felt he's innocent, but keeping silent on such an important issue is not a good look for the club.

And a clear message from the club that 'rainbow laces' are about pretty colours rather than equality. Pathetic.

Anyway, in other news just got on the video and their pitch looks dreadful. Seems like a lot of standing water? Can't tell if it's raining still though, hopefully doesn't affect the game

I see it differently Keith. I see it as supporting their player until the outcome of the hearing.

At least we didn't 'take the knee' before kick off, I really don't want to see any more empty gestures from the club.

Supporting a player that they know is guilty of the charge? If they believed he was innocent, they would have contested the red card in the first place.

Totally agree. Yann has served his 2 games and rightly has to answer for his actions when he is investigated by the FA. If he is eligible to play then he he should play. We are a better team with him and Derek is right to play him. I trust you have lodged a complaint with the club Keith?

Not yet, I'm watching the game. Good to know you agree that 'rainbow laces' and 'equality statements' are simply lip service.

Yes it was coming, we've been sitting too deep and inviting them on. Yet another deflection.

On the same computer or two different machines?

Bratf'rd commentary isn't too bad.

Started fair enough as a discussion about his starting place, but yes, I agre, future comments should be in the other thread.
