As much as I dislike Barrow both as a backwater town and football club. I have to say that the signing on Jamie on an 18 month deal along with the 4 other signings that they have made this transfer business shows the effort that their BoD are making to ensure EFL2 status at least for this season and possibly beyond.

BFC are a club with a large potential fan base and deserve their place alongside us in the league and their new manager certainly has conducted some good business over the last few weeks.

As for ourselves here's hoping that DA can recruit if he feels it necessary with some inspired signings that will strengthen our squad. The non appearance of late of Kenyon and AJ could be of concern and last nights no show of Lyons in particular and the unexpected appearance on the bench of Pringle was surprising but in DA we trust and as I repeatably suggest we are fortunate to have such a dedicated and focused manager at the helm. His playing style may not be that attractive but we are no longer looking down which for us is a more than welcome experience.

Adam Phillips was an unused substitute in Accrington's home defeat by Ipswich. Hope the grass is greener and all that Adam and Burnley!

After the manner in which he left us, I find it difficult to care about him now. I think, he, Accrington & Burnley were all 'a bit crap'. If they'd arranged it all a week before the end of the transfer window, then fair enough, giving Derek time to arrange something else if he wanted to, but the way it went down left a nasty taste in the mouth.

Maybe if JB had used Vadine properly then we'd have seen more of what he's capable of.

Also Cole has improved a hell of a lot under DA....as has Aaron.... :D and had the confidence to give Carlos extended game time.... :D

For me. JB never rated Carlos. Had he still been in charge. We'd of released CMG by now

Adam Phillips appears to be having a rough time at Accy. Several comments on their forum from last nights game including.

I’m not sure what Phillips role is in the scheme of things ?..
No tackles... misplacing of passes.. aimless running !
With this midfield we’ll win nothing !..

What on earth have they done to him? Grass isn't always greener!

Never mind we'll have him back after Burnley release him.

Hard not to feel a little schadenfreude!

It was a little bit of a risk going to League One mid-season. He was pretty much the best creative midfielder in League Two with us (numbers back this up) and had he kept it up with us, would have probably sealed a decent contract with a good League One club or maybe even a Championship club next season.

The risk of him going to Stanley in League One was that if he couldn't find his best form, he dents his reputation far more than if he'd continued strutting his stuff with us in the league below. Will be interesting to see if he's able to find any form during the rest of the season.

Completely agree. He was a shining star within a group of players who had developed an understanding. Carlos was on the same wavelength, but equally Wildig & O'Sullivan were all playing well too, so no matter who he was playing with, they helped him to look good. Now he has to very quickly form new understandings. Carlisle or Barrow next season? It would be very funny if we went up and he was in League Two.
