hopefully if there is a fee involved we can sign another Striker.

we dont know that.
Luke might feel more wanted by Jim first team football and all that plus if there's been a transfer fee involved, Derek might have told him to take it.
hopefully if there is a fee involved we can sign another Striker.

I think that's a bit unfair on Luke.
He's playing under a manager who didn't sign him, that has just signed a new player to play in his position.
He may be able to increase his wages by going to Fylde and will once again link up with the manager that has shown a lot of faith in him.
I think it makes sense for Luke to make that move now if he can as he's out of contract in the Summer and not likely to be first choice this season with us.
redrobo wrote:Sod that....if he or any other player can't be arsed to fight for his place then they are no good to us or DA.
Conlan was OK but it would be interesting to find out how many goals came as a result of crosses from his side and let's be honest he wasn't the type of player to mark his winger tightly often giving the winger ample room to deliver the killer ball into the box.
So for me (and I know others will disagree) we are better off without him, just surprised it's taken JB all this time to get him on board....BUT AFC have lost one of their full backs who didn't want to play under JB "because he had an offer at a club two leagues higher"
so maybe Conlan is only a replacement....who knows but I for one couldn't care less about his departure.

Knight-Percival on his CV started as a left winger, then a left fullback and can also play as a left sided central defender.Well i'll have a slice of humble PieBerlinWaller wrote:

fulwoodshrimp wrote:It might be a bit harsh but I don't think his defensive work was good enough for League 2. I lost count of the number of times he left his wide man in acres of space. able to deliver a telling cross. He must have cost us quite a number of goals over the seasons. If we have got money for him then we have done good business.

Either we’ve missed something or we’ve done something very badly indeed!
Good luck to Luke, put a real shift in, however, I can count on one hand the crosses he successfully stopped.

I don't think we have missed anything.
Cranston moved for domestic reasons.
Miller was useless last season.
Tutte was out injured on a regular basis.
You don't need a hand to count the crosses Conlan has stopped.
