He was some player at Rotherham but hasn't done much whilst out on loan, bit lightweight and doesn't weigh in with goals but has a creative streak.

This is a serious signing for our club. We have not had a proper midfield for years but now with the likes of Toums and Ben, DA has sorted that out.

A cracking signing. PNE paid quite a lot of money for Ben in 2016. Although a number of years ago he single handed (alright maybe had some assistance) took Rotherham from league 2 to the championship. Was later in Tranmeres promotion winning team to league 1. Was loaned out a few times couple of years ago before signing for his old manager (Evans) who is as we all know now at Gillingham. He only made 10 ish appearances but this was because Evans changed formation and it didn't suit Bens style (diamond) plus Ben had some family issues, wife having a baby being one, which meant he had to travel home (back up north) quite a bit. Evans was in 2 minds about a new contract offer or not but on the balance weighing everything up, incl the covid19 situation, decided against it but remains adamant that Ben still has some fantastic quality and skills that another team will now benefit from.
