Great game to watch, they went at us from the off and it looked like a long afternoon ahead chasing shadows against a well drilled passing side.
We got to grips with it and was a joy to watch us passing it too.
Seen Derek have a few out outbursts but today was unreal, like a man possessed, he truly has Morecambe on his sleeve now and you can see the passion that is rubbing off on the players.

Absolute masterclass by Carlos down the touchline in the second half.
Well deserved equaliser, shutting down the great away support.

Moose was a total numpty in the final minutes.

Even on the EFL show first :o

Agree. They were something like 5 on 2(?) and it looked really dangerous for us.

Philips did the right thing. He took one for the team.

Philips only did what you'd expect one of Artell's players to do in a similar situation and I dare say Derek would probably have reacted in the same way. It's all swings and roundabouts.

Another whale swimming up from the South coast a week on Saturday! Hopefully another cracking day. Already looking forward to that one. The buzz is back!

On the Phillips 'challenge'. I think it depends what angle you look at the tackle from. Live from the Ace Scaffolding it looked very reckless due to the ground he had to cover quickly to get there and looked like a reckless lunge (definitely one for the team). On the TV footage it foreshortened the distance being a side on view, so it looked no where near as bad. Don't think they will appeal.

A great entertaining match between two good footballing sides. Nice to see we are no longer worried about bigger sides and reputations! Finally delivering good performances at home and becoming very hard to beat at Fortress Globe! Onwards and upwards 8-)

Aaron Wildig deserves a special mention. His form of late has been top class. His worldy last week at Carlisle was worth sitting in the freezing wind alone. Yesterday he could have had a hattrick. He looks in great shape and fitter than he has ever been. He is playing regularly and completing 90mins which has been unheard of in the past. Another one to benefit from DA and JM's methods. Although he did get a massive bollocking from DA with the water bottles paying the price.

Agreed , Wildig has been like a new signing in recent weeks and 3 goals in 4 matches is just what we want from our midfielders when the strikers are injured/not scoring.

On Philips do we know how long his ban will be ? It didn't look like serious foul play but if it is will it be 3 matches. If it is deemed a professional foul will it be just 1 match.

Will miss games against Newport, Plymouth and Forest Green

Big loss but we have options

Yes it was the most cynical foul possible (and Phillips was right to take out their man).

But it wasn’t a clear goal scoring opportunity and it wasn’t a horrible dangerous tackle. I still genuinely don’t understand on what basis the ref showed a red? By the laws of the game it was a yellow all day long.

Artell has massively over reacted just because he thought they were gonna score from the counter.

I'd agree that it may be worth appealing. Far from preventing a 'clear goalscoring opportunity' and not reckless enough to be dangerous (I don't think)? Need to watch it again and find out wha the refs reason was? Isn't it one match ban for preventing a clear goalscoring opportunity? But it is three matches for dangerous play, so a big difference.

Nobody can possibly argue that a foul on the halfway line, even with a numerical advantage is a CLEAR goal scoring opportunity, especially with everyone piling back at speed.
He's been given a three game ban, which means the ref has sent him off under Law 12 for a 'tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality'. How ridiculous.
It was a professional foul, but it was nothing more than a trip. Cynical, but not dangerous. Unfortunately there's no way of it being overturned because that would admit that the ref was wrong (just like he was wrong not to give their 29 a free kick on the edge of our area!)

Anyway, rant over. What a great team performance. If we can play like that next season then we'll be where Crewe are. What a prospect!

I thought Bradbury looked a real handful, and it'll be interesting to see what he can offer. AJ looked a bit lost at times, he needs someone closer to him (Carlos?) if he's going to be effective.

And reading the Directors notes on the OWS, it looks like a shift in attitude at the club. No more talk of being the plucky underdog or the controlled expectations of years gone by but positivity all round. Better football, bigger crowds and no inferiority complex. Great time to be a Morecambe fan.

Absolutely... the Directors showing interest, rather than having a dictatorship, the commercial manager getting bums on seats, ever increasing fans getting behind the team, the manager giving it all a kick up the ass and the performances and the results improving showing a massive difference at home.
No mention now of money, budgets and how good the other team is.

If we can continue this momentum through the summer we can very much look forward to August.

Might even get some pre season games across the border, anything will be an improvement on last year

Spot on Marky, I am really looking forward to seeing who DA can keep and bring in during the summer. No more Tranmere and Bury rejects hopefully. DA has a real idea of how he wants a team to play and how he wants a club to be. The new Directors have bought in to that which is great to see. I asked the other night but never got a reply but when did anyone last hear the word "budget"?

Isn't there a new Chancellor going to present a Budget shortly? ;)

Agreed, saw the Milner challenge and immediately said no worse or better than Phillips, apart from the ridiculous reaction from the Crewe bench compared to the Blues one.
Ref is a numpty, we will miss Phillips big time.

If the appeal is looked at the wrong way Adam could end up with a longer ban
