Judging by the pattern looks like we're in for a loss then?

If pattern continues we should beat Crewe next week lol

Next 4 very tough...

Crewe (h)
Newport (a)
Plymouth (h)
Forest Green (a)

Would take 4 points from them

Stevenage next 4 games...

Walsall (h)
Crewe (a)
Newport (h)
Swindon (h)

How many of those did you predict we wouldn't win in the prediction league?

Looking at our next four games compared to Stevenage’s, I can’t see them gaining much on us so with seven games to go our lead should be about seven points, plus they have to come to the Globe.

Since Stevenage won 4 - 0 at Cambridge they have lost 7 in a row

I'll be happy if we match Stevenage's return for the next four, then beat them at the Globe. That would be almost unassailable without Stevenage suddenly turning on champions level of form. Of course, that is exactly what Barnet did a couple of seasons ago!

I think Stevenage need to win 5 from 11 which is looking doubtful

They still have Crewe and Swindon to play plus Macc and us away

Not if they were to beat us, then I’d say 4 from 11. With Macc being one of their ‘possibly’ games, then two wins from their other nine may be enough. I’m hopeful that we become masters of our own destiny. If we beat Stevenage they would need probably six from ten to catch us. That’s the next really massive game for both sides.

With yesterdays point we now need 3 wins from 11 games to reach 40 points.

For Stevenage to reach 40 points they would need 6 wins from 11 which is automatic promotion form and I don't see them doing that. Will Macclesfield have more points deducted or Stevenage have a deduction for their transgression ?

3 wins for the Shrimps should be enough but which 3 can we beat ?

To be honest, I think Derek will target Crewe, Newport, FGR, Plymouth, Stevenage, Orient, Crawley, Exeter, Swindon, Salford and Scunthorpe (yes that is every game left!). Every team has dropped a decent amount of points this season (as with every team in every season!) and as previously established with Stevenage thrashing Cambridge 4-0 away, this league is unpredictable and anyone can beat anyone.

Apart from the extra fixture over the Easter weekend, and the FGR Tuesday night, our schedule is very light over the next 10 or so weeks so why shouldn’t we go into every game thinking that we can take all 3 points? Don’t worry, by no means am I saying we should expect to win a lot of those final games but we’re still on a good run at home and our away form & performances are improving week on week.

Great time to be alive! :D
