Agree on both points. Phillips was very poor yesterday. He only had a good 45 minutes last week too.
Old was my MotM with Lavelle my second choice, but no arguments with Cooney getting it.

You're being generous there. More than 18.

He is fantastic at holding the ball up, strength, workrate, even passing. His shooting is just awful.

Do we only have 3 strikers now with Cole, AJ and Bradbury? The wingers really need to start chipping in with goals.

Yes, he missed an absolute sitter, after his unnecessary, and heavy 1st touch. :D

I'm hoping that's a confidence issue. A confident player would have buried it first time. Having previously been a £1.1 million player, I'm hoping it is a case of 'form is temporary, class is permanent'. A few more games and a bit of confidence boosting, hopefully we'll see why Derek has signed him again.

Keep hoping Keith! I hope you're right but his past goalscoring record is not great.

Slew missed a chance in last minute so what ..get over it

Premier League players on 100k plus a week miss sitters as well

They don't do it on purpose

The lads not going to gain confidence if he reads he's getting slagged off every 5 minutes

I don't think for one minute he'd take any notice but he's had 6 run outs and how many times has he scored John?
Maybe he's a winger turned makeshift striker, Who knows?

I sincerely hope that is the case too K. The lad is in a Mfc shirt, and I really hope he hits “ top form.”

Does that same logic apply to all players, in any position then RA1970?
If the lad does start to turn it on, I for one will be shouting it on here.

Players in premier league miss chances and they get paid millions

Lets just be grateful for another point

Only one defeat in 8 at home now !!!!

So good, you said it twice?

It was a *HUGE* miss in a game of very little quality or interest. You can hardly expect it to not be mentioned!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - we can't keep missing all these chances. Stockton has been woeful in front of goal, and we've lost numerous points this season because of it. He missed plenty of chances again on Saturday and then Slew had a chance to win us the points from point blank range and blew it.

Stockton might be great at holding the ball up and working hard but he, like any other striker/forward, is paid to put the ball in the back of the net. He isn't doing it. Steve Old has one less goal than Stockton this season. That speaks volumes. Time for a change.

To finish on a more positive note, I've been super impressed with Steve Old since DA has arrived. He's clearly seen his place is under threat (especially with the arrival of Mbulu) and his performances since the arrival of DA have been as flawless as a L2 player can realistically be. He was brilliant on Saturday and never lost a header. Hats off.
HOWAY THE SHRIMPS!!!!!

On topic(ish) and proud!
