Is "Skaville" a live band or is it just a disco with a DJ?

Like that C, “a disco.” The term for us of a certain age. ;)

Either way, it is definitely worth a look. Nice one MFc.

Crazeenick we are sterling off as DJ based only but we have access to a number of good Ska bands and hope to start featuring them ASAP when the monthly nights have become firmly established. Check us out

It isn't a style of music I've ever really liked, but it is great to see the club doing something positive like this. Hopefully it really takes off. Is there a 'happy hour' as well? Give people a reason to stay behind and spend some cash!

So how did that work out then?

I agree with Keith; it's one of the few musical styles I really don't like. My choice would currently be for a funk & soul night, but ignore me 'cos the chances of me sticking around after the game are slim to non-existent - I have to get back to attend to the animals! (and no, I am not referring to children). Hope it goes really well and it may perhaps lead to more such evenings.

Thanks to everyone who turned up to our first monthly Skaville Saturday last night for a great night at JBs
Really loved it with some great Ska, 2 Tone & Reggae anthems and a busy dance floor
Don’t miss our February date after the Mansfield game on SAT 8 FEB

Yep must agree
But we are still playing it before the game and at half time,
I would have thought we would play newer stuff for the younger generation that we are trying to encourage to keep coming.

Thanks for the above comments guys
SKAVILLE is just the first event we are evolving in JBs. We could look at other music events like Soul, RnB, Rock, Indie etc down the line
Post your ides on here if you like

Also don’t forget 80s CLUB TROPICANA upstairs in the Local Choice Suite on Easter Sunday
