I think Morecambe will have way too much for Mansfield and it will end a resounding 3-1

Same as it did at little old 'Oldham' on tuesday night ;)

We’ve got to win against either Mansfield or Macclesfield, surely?!

1-0 win for DA and the squad!

If we get a goal ahead, like we did against Cambridge, please, go for the killer blow rather than sit back, because I'm still not confident that we will keep a clean sheet. A-Jay to start.

2-1 :D :D :D

Mansfield have let 50 goals in which is almost as bad as us but most of ours have been conceded away. We are getting our fortress back under Derek.

If we can win these 2 home matches we will be on 32 points and possibly 10 points above the Cheats with their Medal Winner !

I think the result will be similar to our first ever League 2 victory back in 2007 when we beat Mansfield 3-1.

Morecambe 3 Mansfield 1 att. 2,177.

Mansfield have conceded quite a lot of goals but they are one of the highest scorers in the division as well

Maynard and Rose are very dangerous

Not an easy game like people seem to think

Definitely not straightforward. A small fortune has been spent on assembling the Mansfield squad and if they click they will trouble the best. Unfortunately I'm going for a 1-2 loss (with a cast iron win against Macc in midweek).

Obviously not as good as you think John, 4th bottom, only 5 points ahead of Morecambe and beaten 3-1 on their last 2 away games, the most recent being at Oldham.
It's a very winnable game but could end up going all Cambridge if they sit back,

Derek will be asking for a higher tempo like the games previous and it's 3 points in the bag

A team we've previously struggled to battle against. They always seem to be thuggish and ref's seem to let them get away with it  However, I think DA's revived squad will be more resilient and get the upper hand (officials permitting!). I'll be missing for the next two games, so form has it I'll miss two great matches!

Shrimps 3 - 2 Stags. COYS!!!

Dependent on starting 11 I'd love to say 3-1, but I'll settle for Shrimps 2- Mansfield 1.

AJ does appear to pick up injuries too quickly.

His absence could see some game time for the new lad from Millwall.

On another subject I wonder how different training is under DA as he will no doubt have his own way of doing things.

One apparent benefit from the new training regime is that our lads look a lot fitter but that is down probably to the introduction of new ideas.

Same old story I'm afraid. If AJ was fit all the time he'd still be playing higher than l2 because he has that touch of class. All we can do is treasure him when he is fit and make the best of it.

Fair point this. AJ has never put a good run of games together and if he did, you would expect him to get 1 in 2/3 at this level. He does seem to have legs made out of weetabix.

Decent coats and a couple of layers will be required tomorrow as gusts hit 80 mph
