Get in. Great result.

Only downer was injury to Ryan Cooney, who has been excellent since joining us.

just hope Cooney’s injury isn’t to serious and if so who's gonna cover R/B wonder if Adam Buxton gets a chance?

Same four that finished the game? Possibly Buxton may make the bench, although that may have more to do with the relationship between him & Derek, especially as he's not been training with the first team. Have we had any reserve team games lately?

HUGE 3 points. What a way to end the game, take a bow Carlos.
Cranston is back, and long may it continue.
Feel like a kid at Christmas now, waiting for Cheltenham on Sat.
Come on the lads.

Great result tonight, the work rate has definitely improved under Derek Adams both on and off the ball.

GET IN!!!! Although I might have to post a note of apology to my neighbours on account of the shouting :D

Solid team performance for me. Neither team really on top, but Walsall got the break with the penalty. I feel in the past we've been in games, conceded then struggled to claw back. However, Mafoumbi stepped up which stopped us slipping out of the game - he looked pretty good I thought.

Think it was a decent team performance from both sides tonight without much in the way of quality, although Phillips and CMG did step up here and there (probably less frequently than usual) to sprinkle a little bit of magic.

Big positives tonight for me were Cranston and Diagouraga. Cranston's delivery was superb, and his bursts forward with the ball are a great weapon. Also was a lot more calm and collected in defence than previously. First time I've properly seen Diagouraga and I loved him, a real class act to help us retain the ball better and bring some calm and balance to the midfield.

Slew was a bit disappointing, worked hard but his touch was really heavy. I think he'd be better suited on the right where he could burst past players and whip it in with his right foot. I would prefer CMG on the left as well so he can weave inside onto his right foot - he was a bit sporadic tonight but worked hard, still had some quality moments and took his goal brilliantly. His style on the ball actually reminds me quite a bit of Jack Grealish - or maybe it's just how he wears his socks!

Overall, a very solid team performance (defence was pretty tight) and we just about had enough quality to work a couple of goals. Encouraging, and nothing better than seeing Steve Old batter the corner flag!
