This is a good Colchester side and we’re holding our own despite 6 players coming in since Bradford. Lots to be very optimistic about. Just a shame Port Vale and Oldham haven’t scored yet!

Great goal. We really need to get at least a point to keep in touch with Stevenage now they have lost their game in hand. Stick in there you MORECAMBE REDS.

Pork Vale I'd agree, but not sure I want Oldham to score as I think they may be a side we can catch.

As long as we catch at least one team, I don't care (although I'd prefer Stevenage to finish bottom!)

Very good point

Especially with Stevenage and Carlisle both losing and also Oldham / Macclesfield drawing

Don't count Mansfield been dragged in to trouble either

Great point against one of the stronger sides, well done Derek!
Think I'll be on for the Port vale game, whilst watching out for Latics to put Stevenage to the sword and then hopefully Carlisle on Saturday.
So poor at the bottom of this league and power to Morecambe!

Yes, a very good much needed point against a 'top' team. Let's hope this is the start of of our climb up the league. It sounds as if our new players made a difference so hopefully we can get some wins in and stop having to rely on other teams losing.

Really good game in awful conditions. We really got at Colchester and they were well happy with a draw long before they went down to 10.

We battled and attacked until the end, no longer a push over side. Somebody is going to be on the end of a hiding, lets hope it is Tuesday night.

The Burnley lads look a different class, not so sure about Slew.

Clarets lads were superb, Burnley are looking to get more of their u23s out on loan for regular football so watch out for more possible loans.

Another game that we should have won imo. Two clear cut opportunities, that in real time, looked harder to miss than score. The game didn’t strike me, or excite like the Bradford performance, but we took a huge, well deserved point. 3 of the 4 new signings gave good accounts, more positives for future games. Slew???
Tanner must definitely be departing soon??? Unfortunately. He looked thoroughly p!ssed off to me, during the half time warm.

We would he be p!ssed off? A money deal to Derby or playing for Morecambe. No brainer

According to the commentary team, he would be happy to stay with us. Might not be his choice of course. Or we may need to find some cash. Perhaps Sam's had a word with him about long term goals rather than viewing things in the short term?

The lad's a star in the making and his development would be best served staying here under Derek
until safety is confirmed

I read that as “ why would he be p!ssed off?”
Not referring atall to regard a move, apart from the fact he wan’t playing, probably as a result of a move, and out on the pitch at half time, getting pissed wet through, with nearly 0 chance of getting on.
No brainer.

Yet Brewitt who wasn't even named as a sub before the match and must have been named late due to a Wildig injury(?) was happy, smiling, etc throughout his side line warm ups and half term - looked to be thoroughly enjoying himself despite the weather and the same almost certainty of not being brought on. His attitude really impressed me. Just shows different personalities.

DA's interview with Quinny on Lancs is a good one. He says no player should be disappointed to be on the bench or in the stands. We are bottom for a reason and they have all had plenty of chances. All fair in my eyes.

I am not sure if Kevs tweet is unprofessional or funny.

Might be me Ken, not fully grasping your underlying point, perhaps looking too deeply?? My original statement about Tanner, was simply as I saw it. The lad just wants to play football, no criticism from me.
I am a very big fan of Brewitt, can’t fault his attitude ever. I would have played him today, but I am just a fan.
