Showing passion, is always going to result in cards. Prefer that, to whimpering to defeat.

And an unbelievably bad goal difference which we will never be able to claw back !

2-2 it is then. A big point for the Shrimps, and 5 points for my prediction league. ;) ;)

Showing "passion" has got us into trouble many times this season. We've had the most red cards in the league this season, joint with Mansfield. We've got to be smarter if we want to win games, it's not just a red card but now two defenders suspended.

Damage limitation

This could end up worse than the Crewe score

It wasn't "passion", it was Sutton being outpaced while chasing a long ball. Arm across to stop their lad. Definite red card but may as well have let their lad chase the ball down rather than foul him. 0-0 in the 87th minute, perhaps take one for the side, but not in the first half.

The only positive is that we didn't really expect anything from this game.

On the bright side, the manager does give good post game interviews.

As it currently stands, Macclesfield could go in to administration, have twelve points deducted and still be favourites to stay up

I thought the 'Bentley out' brigade had promised us that a new manager would automatically make us successful? When does that start?

DA can only play the cards left behind by previous management. He said last week that the squad is too big and not good enough. He also mentioned the previous management spent all the budget in the summer whereas he likes to keep some spare for Jan.

It helps to keep 11 men on the pitch. We've shot ourselves in the foot again!

More than happy to take your veiw K, you are actually watching the game.

   LOL! What spare "budget"???

You didn't notice how we couldn't even compete with National League sides when it came to signing players?

Hopefully the owners will produce some cash in January, otherwise we're screwed.

The previous manager never got us relegated. When the new manager took over we weren't cut adrift or even in the relegation zone.
If we go down he's failed and his appointment was step backwards. If he moves up from the position he inherited then it's a step in the right direction.
I personally think that he will keep us up.

One positive from today. Last time I saw Mendes-Gomes, he was running around like a headless chicken. Today, he'd probably be my MotM. He's covered loads of ground, defended well and been involved in anything positive we've produced going forwards. Let's hope he's beginning to realise his potential.

Plymouth just hit the post.

Fair enough. We were on equal points with Stevenage are the Orient game. We weren't cut adrift though.

Derek can't do anything until the transfer window. Jim had assembled an unbalanced team of "cast offs" as he himself called them. Jim had done well previously, but this Summer was pretty poor in terms of who he brought in.

A mad 5 minutes at the end of the first half has cost us the game. We have defended well in the second half and it does make me wonder what we could have done without the sending off. Credit to the 10 remaining players. Whoops -22 goal difference now! Oh dear.............
