I suppose its a good chance for him to see the same side again after having worked with them for a couple of days and see how they respond.

Wildig & Tutte have been massively underperforming this season. It will be interesting to see if new management can get them up to the standard we expected of them both or how quickly they are sidelined?

So how did that work out then?

Up at 5am Egypt time (3am UK) to catch flight back to Heathrow, then drive to Morecambe before a 2am Thursday sailing back to the Isle of Man. On that basis, I'm going to miss this game and get some sleep!

The prize money keeps it interesting enough to try and win, but it is kind of like a pre-season friendly for the new boss. Saturday is far more important.

Agreed.Plus I don't think the aforementioned are robust enough to handle the new double session training regime Derek Adams is introducing.

As for a dead rubber as some have been saying, I don't see it that way. Isn't it £10,000 for the winner of one of these ties. Not exactly chicken feed! Can't ever remember us winning one in recent times so that's a lot of £10,000 gone down the swanee!

Morecambe App's just told me the match starts in 60 minutes, don't think that's quite right.

Sounding good from this side of the Atlantic.

Conlan on the end of a few bollockings from DA and he is frustrated at the midfield.

Cole had his best 45mins for us and has had a couple of crosses to attack!

Conlan and Wildig weak links in the team first half.

The new Manager must be impressed with Tanner, Lavelle, Old and Brewitt playing that midfield role.

Plenty of Positives!

Much better!

Good to see Derek Adams and John McMahon congatulate each other after the game, might not need to look much further for an assistant manager.

What a difference a days training can make. Attacking full backs and midfielders making forward runs, unbelievable. I counted one pass back to Halstead and that was in the 75th minute. Back to back home wins!

Conlan was better 2nd half, and the goal was a fantastic strike. That should do his confidence the world of good.

I spent a lot of time watching DA throughout the game. I noticed that he isn't a big shouter and he was often drowned out by the very noisy Pressley. He never sat down, constantly prowling in his technical box. He wanted the ball played forward at all times, got frustrated when it was over played. He never showed much emotion, just the odd hands on hips. Held plenty of discussions with JM. Rarely hassled the 4th official.

I noticed quite a few of these too. He did shout (more like bark and growl!) after we went a goal down, and thankfully obviously does not like the backward passing. His body language was to go forward. Made earlier substitutions than expected, and interestingly not like for like, thereby changing the game, and it worked! Well done DA on your first success and to the lads who played and responded well! Good preparation and confidence-building for the next league challenge.

Game of 2 halves for me, Carlisle were all over us on the wings and sliced us down the middle and i thought nothing much had changed.
As has been said, Derek was relatively quiet other than bollocking Luke, telling the centre backs to move up and giving George a heads up. Also AJ was told to stay forward ata corner rather than everyone in the box like we often got before with no outlet.
Just before the hour it all changed with our subs, we put 2 up front and went 3 at the back with Luke bombing forward. The shackles came off for some of our sit back players. I think his Shrimps folder actually worked
Good to watch Wildig earning the pen, Tutte stepping up and Luke unleasing a shot that even took him by surprise - his first ever goal!

More of the same on Saturday please when we get back to the important stuff, amazing our next home game is 3 weeks on Saturday against - Carlisle!
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think
