Unsung Hero John McMahon

Unsung Hero John McMahon

Although Baz and Kev are getting all the plaudits for yesterday and seem to have transformed our play with this plan to press more I'm wondering how much of it is down to John Mc. A bit like last year when be hot involved we started playing a better and went on a run.

I would like to see John be more involved going forward he obviously has a positive impact although I pressume a new man would bring their own person with them.

I thought it was time to bring an external person in but if Baz, Kev and John are going to stick with this style then I think they should be given more games to see what they can do. My only worry is sometimes players respond for a caretaker but then when they get the job fulltime it goes a bit wrong.

It just goes to show we have got the players we just needed to let them play.

I noticed that John wasn't on the bench during the game yesterday. Did he take Ken's role and sit in the stands observing?

Think so, he came down to the Touchline chatting to Kev and Berry for a couple of minutes, then it looked like John was shouting some instuctions to one if the players while the game had stopped and then all of sudden "Vanished"

I heard positive things about John McMahon when he took a leading role in training when KM was off last season. We picked up some good results in that period and believe he was popular with the players.

He's a valuable asset to our club which we can't afford to let go.

Yes he was observing and came down a couple of times, don't think he made phone calls though, Jim often appeared distracted by all the nuisance calls, (lol).
