Or maybe if he hadn't been played upfront on his own without another red shirt anywhere near him, he might of scored/set up a few more...

I turn up at home matches with very low expectations and I am usually not disappointed.

I used to leave matches that we had lost with a sickly feeling. Sadly this season I have been expecting nothing and with very few shots on target that is what we have got.

Love to be wrong but Morecambe 0 Northampton 2 and to rub salt in Oliver with a goal !

Okay...

We all know how stubborn (or determined?) Jim is and how in previous seasons, he's waited until after Christmas to turn things around, but he's never been under as much pressure as he is now. He said after Scunthorpe that it was the type of performance that gets managers the sack, then we turn out two more, similar performances since. Everyone can see that the midfield simply isn't working.

So I'm hoping that Jim will change things completely on Saturday, resulting in a superb game and a 3-0 victory! :D :D :D

More to the point... with all the doom and gloom, no one else will predict such a victory, so a chance to close the gap!

So how did that work out then?

Love to share the optimism but with JB's record of not being prepared to change his approach then as much as we all would like a positive result, if JB picks the same midfield combination then yet another depressing weekend could be on the cards.

However let's be positive and say that JB will change both team selection and tactics to go for the win from minute 1 then a positive result could be a welcome change.

There is the perfect opportunity tomorrow at The Globe , Huddersfield Town Reserves at 1pm

He could try playing an experimental line-up to see how they go. Try Lynch in midfield.

Everything crossed, that Aj is fit to start. I am confident, that he will be the missing cog, that makes us fire. Quality up front.....movement.....assists.....goals.....success, which then injects the very much needed confidence boost for the rest of the whole team, and improved performance all over the park.
Still changes to be made, but not wholesale.

2-1 Shrimps win. ( In Aj I trust 8-) 8-) )

Love a 2-1 win, but I really struggle to see us coming from behind. If we concede first I think we will collapse as confidence is so low.

Currently underwater with more heavy rain forecast, so might not make it tomorrow. In my absence we'll probably play out of our skins, but I doubt it.

Load of old cobblers 0-2 Northampton

Mrs A goes 2-2.

Not sure how it's been in Morecambe but here in Storth I've never seen as much heavy rain being put down in such a short time. Our street is under water as the drains can't cope with the amount.

As Phil says more is forecast and some serious flooding could be on the cards for some of our village property.

Result tomorrow 2-1 home win....please!
