Blimey CG, have you been to therapy or have you escaped captivity?

Some suggestion that therapy may be required after renewing my season ticket!

I want to get excited but the Mills and Collins situations have made me wary!

Doesn't he want to go South ?

Glad to see you back on board Caged Lion. Myself and a colleague sat next to you and Mrs Lion in the first 2 seasons at The Globe.

Those were the days G_S. I haven’t been as enthused about a new season since cheering the players onto the pitch at that first game. The current squad is one of the best at this stage in proceedings for several years. There is an obvious feel good factor at the club again. Catch up with you soon if you ever visit Cell Block D

Another striker , a wide player and a right back will make me very happy. May see you in the pre season games in the seats , on the Berlin Wall/Ace Scaffolding stands with season ticket.

Trialists , we have a photo on MFC Official twitter showing Kevin running and 2 guys with their faces blurred out.

There are a few theories about who they may be but better not to speculate in case we lose someone like we have in the past when names are suggested.

Jamie Devitt noted on the D3D4 podcast that we're apparently going to be doing some good business over the coming weeks after speaking with Jim:

51 weeks later, we have 20 confirmed squad players and are waiting on a 21st (Kenyon)

I notice Kenyon is in the pre-season video.

Adam Buxton has announced he is leaving Tranmere. A specialist RB and fans favourite. Not sure if he has mentioned where he is going but could be one to look at

Former Accrington Stanley full back , 27 years old and from Merseyside. Maybe he is one of the blurred players in the video :?:

Maybe a reduction in game time and squad status will result in a reduction in wages?

If that is the case then you can't blame Alex for looking around but it says a lot about his relationship with the club if he has been allowed to train despite being technically a free agent. A good servant but I think we have to move on from players like Alex, who realistically is going to be 4th choice at best

Weekly squad update: A deeper dive into our squad depth...

GK:
Roche (1)
Halstead (2)

CB:
Sutton (1)
Old (1)
Lavelle (1)
Brownsword (1)
Brewitt (1/2)

FB:
Conlan (2)
Cranston (2)
Buxton (1)
[+ Sutton & Brewitt]

CM:
Tutte (1)
Fleming (1/2)
Jagne (1)
Mendes Gomes (1)
Wildig (1)
Kenyon (?) - still negotiating...

Wingers:
Oates (1)
Ellison (1)
Howard (1/2)

FW:
Leitch-Smith (2)
Stockton (1)
Hawley (1)
[+ Kev & Howard]

Jim seems to be interested in/nearly sorted a winger and a forward, so it’s the midfield that is most in need of a few more aquisitions. Loanees will likely come in mid to late July so we always have them to fall back on.

Danny Mayor has tonight announced he will be leaving Bury (via Nicky Adams twitter feed) he is a quality winger and would be a very welcome addition to the squad. Highly rated by their fans. Whilst on the subject of Bury, they are going to be loosing a lot of quality players tomorrow with deals not being sorted out and contracts expiring. Could Jimbo have tempted any of them who might want to stay in the northwest?

I really agree with this. I do love his passion, but just don't think he would get near any other league 2 sides team.

I'd love to see us get in a DM, two wingers and another forward. Get those in with a bit of pedigree and think we are looking pretty agile with options.

We couldn't afford Mayor.

Not sure which other Bury players will be available but they won't come cheap.
