with the car wash there are not so many fans to move and its only for one game they could just have said you have to go in the north stand but they are giving fans the option of where to go plus if we didn't they would only come in the home end which may cause problems and with money tight at the moment they are not going to turn down the chance to make some extra cash and have a bumper attendance at Christie Park

As I said before, I agree with the idea if it makes us more much needed money. However I do wonder if all the fans that are having a pop at Kev would feel the same if it had been The North Stand?

Why does it matter how many fans you have to move? Do you think Morecambe fan will fill the Car wash and South stand?

In short, most of them would. I do agree with increasing Bradford's allocation, but I do understand the point Kev is making, mainly because it's rather similar to the point an awful lot more were making (like me) when it looked like the club were gonna charge full price for Cheltenham part 2. More were affected then, a good number weren't gonna bother going. It wouldn't take long to check the archives and see if 1 or 2 of those having a pop at Kev were making similar points a few months ago ;)

If it was the North Stand it would be completely different. The North Stand is, in essence, the Morecambe Kop. It is the home away (even if just by default of being directly opposite the away end). Also the accoustical properties of The North Stand far outweigh those of The Umbro Stand ergo it would give the atmosphere on the pitch akin to that of an away game.

Fixtures such as this one are subject of security meetings between the club and police well in advance of the fixture. Decisions made at such meetings are made on safety considerations and intelligence received, not just on a whim or for financial considerations. Therefore if the Police decide that the car wash should on this one occasion be given to the large number of Bradford fans expected to turn up , many without tickets if the extra space isn't provided then who has any right to argue? I stand on the North Stand with my kids and the last thing anyone wants is outbreaks of disorder similar to those we have seen in the past when away fans have been on the North Stand!

Simple and sensible really. All Morecambe fans will be able to watch the game, so if you have to watch it from a different angle for once, SO WHAT! Get over it. All true fans will understand the common sense reasons for this decision I'm sure!

Whats the point in having a message board if we cant have a discussion without it getting abusive and personal?

Thats not 'Liberal', thats common decency.

As a centre stander, I would argue that point about the North Stand accoustics outweighing The Umbro. The Bury game was a case in point, where the vocals from the Umbro far out weighed anything that the North Stand did.
