If we win our game in hand and then beat them, we're only a point behind the giants!

Mcall has said he will go if they don't make the play offs.

I don't think he'll have a say in it to be honest.

Big club, big expectations.

There could be a job for him at Grimsby if the Mariners don't stay up. 8-)

He also said this last season...

Former player Stuart McCall was appointed the new manager, and although he said anything less than promotion would be a failure, he later changed his mind after a poor start and finally led the team to a 10th place finish.

Bradfords last four away games barnet lost 4-1 rochdale lost 3-0 exeter lost 1-0 and bournemouth lost 4-1 big club your having a laugh just fans thinking they are bigger than they really are they are in league 2 cos its where they belong....Just cos a club gets big home crowds does not give you the right to win things take newcastle for example

Maybe it is, but fair play to Mcall he could have come out with the usual spiel that most managers use in this situation " i wont walk away, i will stay and get this club back where it belongs " or words to that effect.

In other words they can sack me and pay off my contract, if he walks then they don't have to give him anything.

So we're not a big club because we've lost 5 away on the bounce? - So in that repect, are Man Utd as small as Morecambe because they lost 4-1 to Liverpool?

Like i've said before. Im not on a Bradford wankfest but for anyone in this league to state we arn't a big club seriously don't have the slightest clue what their talking about. We're here for a reason with alot of bad luck along the way but just because our league status at this current time is League Two, it doesn't nessecerily mean we've gone from being this big club to becoming this small club in this tin-pot league overnight - if this was the case then im sure you'll agree L**ds and Leciester are just as small....???

On the McCall debacle. He'll be goe at the end of the season - We can't afford to stay any longer in this league than what we are doing.

Surely a big club could afford anything?

If that's the case then im sure Man Utd wouldn't be around 500 million in debt?

I have to say I agree with much of what Mr Firthy says.

Bradford given their attendances and city location should be much higher than where they are - similarly Leeds United and Leicester City. However legacy issues, the very season they were successful in the past, like a large stadium and people pumping money in that couldn't last is what's dragged them down.

The problem is that a proportion of Bradford fans confuse thinking they should be at that level (and why shouldn't they) with a God-given right to be there or that they're somehow excused from the normal rigours of football like winning games and gaining points. It was the same with a minority of say Oxford Utd and Doncaster Rovers fans in the Conference. We, and no doubt other club's rise to the minority's disrespectful bigger-than-you attitude with some pretty silly comments of our own.

Mr Firthy is right, Bradford City are a big club. However until a lot of their fans come to terms with what's needed mentally to go forward they, like Leeds United, Oxford United and others will never be able to make the step. I think Mr Firthy knows this but some of his compatriots sadly don't.

I agree with Posh. Bradford ARE a big club, it's just bad management that they're in League 2. They're not alone mind you. Watford, Norwich, Charlton, Southampton, Leeds and Leicester will all claim to be Premier League stature clubs, but apart from Leicester may well be in the "Lower" divisions next season.

The kids who come on here bear no resemblence to the vast majority of Bantams who are fairly thick skinned about the position they find themselves in and don't generally go trolling on message boards.
