Nearly half way there - big challenge today!

Nearly half way there - big challenge today!

Postby North Stand Shrimp » Sat Mar 14, 2009 6:52 pm

Hi all,

I'm now almost half way to my target fundraising total of £1600 for Leonard cheshire Disability and am hoping to cash in on the good feeling around the club and supporters from our 11 game unbeaten run! come on guys it's dead easy, just follow the link and give what you can!

I'm also running the furthest i've ever attempted tommorrow in the Trimpell 20. starting and finishing at the Trimpell club Morecambe, it's a 20 mile race around the area and will be the biggest challenge i've come up against so far in my training for the London marathon in 6 weeks time.

A few more donations would be great for motivation for tommorrow and a step closer to that total that will make running the marathon all the more worth while.

well, just got back and i'm completely knackered! the last mile really did hurt but I managed to finish in 2hr 53 which is 7 mins under the 3 hour target i'd given myself.

6 weeks to go to the marathon, and sub 4hr is looking a real possibility.

While obviously delighted that Paul is raising money for Leonard Cheshire Disability and appreciative of the hard work that you guys have put in to making the Morecambe FC Bus a reality, you really need to make that clear to any prospective donors before they hand over any money, so that no one gives to you, then is upset if they think their money is going elsewhere.

I'd be surprised if anyone did feel that... but then, people never cease to surprise me!

So how did that work out then?

Was very impressed and you didn't even look that tired I would have been dying.

I think you will be well within the 4 hours.

Now then must dig out those old running shoes I seem to have slipped into retirement.
