Twiss corner, Artell headed goal! (about 34th minute ish)

...as I type, Barnet equaliser, Barnet straight back in to it with a sloppy goal to give away.

Wayne Curtis out-muscled the defender, then scored with a 'weak shot'.

We always seem to play scrappy against the poorer sides, but that doesnt matter when we are 11 games unbeaten in a row.....7 points off the playoffs. If we can carry on this run until the end of the season, you never know.

Scrappy especially the 2nd half, but the lads dug deep. Arts, Bents, Danny, Twissy all played well today. Rene a bit unlucky with an awful offside decision not long after he came on - he'd have been free for a run and a 1 on 1 with the keeper.

All of a sudden next week's game acquires some kind of importance.

Keep it up lads!!!

They always say that if you don't play too well and win it's a good sign and Sammy will take that I'm sure. Don't forget that despite their position, Barnet had started to make a good fist of things.

Shrewsbury will be more desparate for the points next week and we can go and enjoy the game. Their nerves might put them on the back foot, you never know, especially at home. Should be interesting though. Avoiding defeat will be a major result if we manage it.

Agreed not much of a game for the fans but a wins a win. No midweek game this week so plenty of time for the lads to recharge as one or two looked knackered today. Mom for me today was Drummond covered a lot of the pitch today and played a good covering game.

I'd rather miss Stanners and be in the position we are......than have Stanners and possibly be looking over our shoulders at those below us.

Both teams tried to play football but the pitch didn't help - it's taken some real hammer lately.

Totally agree awful game but at least both teams tried to play a bit of football on a shocking pitch...poor turnout by the morecambe public again but 3 points is the most important thing and keeps the run going

We are a better team with Stanners and Rene Howe in it.

The players have responded well to the injury crisis and ground out some good results.

.....personally more than I expected given the opposition. The turn out by home fans on Tuesday WAS bad. Only 1500 compared with 1800 yesterday.

I think 1800 was a decent total. I think realistically anything around 2000 is good for us. Barnet didn't bring many fans so I think its a respectable number. We can't expect the 2800+ like last season as last season we were doing well and it was our first season in the league. I think Accrington's attendances have been slowly going down each year and we have to expect the same.

Agreed. The main thing definitely is that we got 3 points but I'd hope that against Luton (or Shrewsbury if I can make it) I can see us putting in a better performance. Strange that duffy didn't come on, either.

Sammy said post match that it wasn't the game to bring Duffy on. Remember he's been brought for our charge next season ( as is young Taylor :?: ) and is still getting used to the set up.

Far better to use them both sparingly at the moment.
