Sorry to start a new thread but in this case i think it's worth attracting attention to the fact

Two grounds and neither are good enough for a game of football !

At least it gives the players a break from playing two games a week, a long journey and a difficult game at dagenham on Saturday followed by the home game against Bury on the Tuesday, so it might be a good thing, possibly one less game without Rene as well.

disappointing tonight (I had my pie ready to go in the oven and the Stella on ice... now I'll just have to surf for porn instead...)

BUT!

A good time for a rest and we are ahead of many clubs as far as games played is concerned. Slogging about on a waterlogged pitch won't suit us and would have been really exhausting, so playing another time, with the pitch in better condition is to our advantage. I just hope no one has set off and is driving there, not knowing.

Sad that the game is off but will give the players a bit of a rest before the long trip on Saturday - we have also got a lot of free Tuesdays available for the match to be replayed

Thanks for correcting the header KEITH?

Not too bothered about the game being off as a heavy pitch wouldn't do our game any favours. Also it gives the lads a well earned rest after their tremendous efforts of late.

Was meant to be doing the commentary with Sean tonight on Morecambe World. Went into the ground with Sean and looked at the pitch. It had plenty of visible water on it particularly around the middle of the pitch and in either area. Ref really had no option and i was surprised it passed the first inspection at 5 30!

Sorry. It was me.

I think if the topic is important, e.g. someone might be accessing Shrimpsvoices on the way to the game, then the headline / topic title has to clear. With your original title it could have just meant the venison you planned to eat for tea was a bit whiffy. A rare occurrence but a necessary one.

Just imagine if you'd been going to the game, got half way there, heard it was off so decided to go and watch Accrington, got half way there, then heard THAT was off as well!

Then you would have had something to moan about.

Well it happened to me as i decided once our game was off to go and watch Alfreton v Stafford and catch up with David McNiven. Rang up a friend who checked with Alfreton and game was on. Got to the club and game OFF! In fact when i did my second inspection of the night the Alfreton pitch was even worse than Rotherhams!

And how pissed off would you be if you were sat at traffic lights IN Accrington when you were told their game was off too?

Looks like it'll be either the 21st or 28th April, as they already have two games per week EVERY WEEK up until then!!!

Yes, but you know yourself that you get disturbed by the door opening and you never get any real sleep till you know your kids are home and safe, plus the fact that we live in a bungalow and our room is the first door in :?
