o/t Race night in aid of the Royal British Legion

Postby sgt major » Mon Feb 23, 2009 12:25 pm

Just another reminder of this event on Saturday after the Wycombe game.

The Races start at 8.30 but before hand there will be table magic from our regular illusionists plus the chance to place bets on Tri-casts, place pots etc. A Video Disco is provided by the race organisers and the following have kindly sponsored the races which in effect pays for the night to go ahead, therefore making all the proceeds available for the Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes funds:

Callender Caravans
Crestel Engineers
Morecambe FC
Sport and Leisure group (Graham Hodgson), also part sponsoring the race card with the York Hotel
Sumners Insurance
Tottys Jewellers
Classic Engravings
Army Catering Corps Association

The night is open to all and is a family event with early teens upwards welcome accompanied by parents.

If anyone knows serving personel on leave in the area try and get them to come along.

Forgot to mention - the famous "York Basket Meals" will be on offer until 10pm.

BTW for the attention of our Friday Night Christmas club members (mainly Morecambe FC fans), our new "Pick and Dip" menu is starting this week from 4pm - 9pm

You might even have a free taxi home, someone has to be at the ferry at about 1:30am and therefore won't be drinking :? I've promised to take my niece out for dinner on Saturday (she's almost 17 yr old! How did that happen? Surely she's only about ten????) so I may be there later if there's room left!

So how did that work out then?
