I'm late to the news, but that's too bad. Hope he does well. I think he was a big asset to the Fury (even if that penalty against TFC still smarts a bit). Fair play to him!
@ShrimpsOfCanada for my Morecambe centric comments.
@DrRetro for Toronto FC, CanPL, and general Canadian commentary and profanity about the same.

Adam Yates is out of contract on New Years Day. His contract will not be renewed following severe facial injury recently sustained during collision with his own goalkeeper.

The one thing we don't need is an extra full back.

For me any spare cash  should be spent on a creative midfielder to support our strike force.

A striker would be nice but with the limited budget we've got I don't think we'd get a proven one, unless we can do a loan deal with Big Sam...using the PMcG connection... :?: :?: :?:

An injury sustained against our Reserve team! The pic of his injuries was put on here somewhere and it wasn't a pretty sight! Hope he recovers well enough to resume his football career

Having talked to a Port Vale fan about him a month ago, it really wouldn't be. I think he's destined for Stafford Rangers or somewhere else about that level, he's from that area and probably wouldn't move. Can't cut it at this level any more. I think he's doing a bit of coaching on the side too.

Mrs A & I chatted to him as he was about to leave us, and his main reason was the travelling, so even if he was fit, I wouldn't see him wanting to return to us now.

Yatesy will be remembered as a Wembley hero and a good player for us but we don't need a 34 year old right back, especially as we've got young AJ who I'd argue has been one of the better performing players this season.

Alex Whitmore has returned to Burnley following his loan spell at Bury.

Played very well for us and had it not been for Max extending his stay with us until the end of this season, I'd have welcomed Alex back to The Globe assuming that Burnley would have let us have him again.

Accy have signed a central defender from Burnley who has just returned to Turf Moor from a loan spell with Barrow.

Genuinely have no idea who this guy is so I looked him up on Wikipedia. He only played once for us which was at Dover, wish I hadn't looked now!

He was the only decent player in a Morecambe shirt that day!

Signed today on loan at Blackpool for the rest of this season.

Perks said he "wasn't old enough" to join us a year or 2 back. If he signs with Bury, then I can't see us signing him at 37, there again Kev and Thommo might still be playing :?

He could be playing against us next season, a first in the league?

If Perks is reading this?
BURY??? Take the piss!!! They have had more bosses since they sacked Flitcroft than we have had since Brian Griffiths in 1993.
Sign for them and play under four managers in couple of seasons and get messed about, or is the money more important?

Alex has today signed a 2 1/2 year deal for Chesterfield, so we'll get the chance to welcome him back to the Globe on the 10th February!

Just a pity that we couldn't afford to go after him because for me he's just what we need up front although my preference would be for an experienced midfielder to provide the ammunition for our forward(s)...

I would even throw in a 'used' 3 piece leather suite FOC into any deal to get him..... could also possibly stretch my finances to include a Shrimps beach towel

We could have a collective whip round.... :o

An unwanted caravan...
Some ancient relic chairs from Mr P's antiques arcade....
An unlimited supply of out of date pies....
A collection of used soul cassettes from Steve Mid...might even have a cassette player to play them...

What more would any player want....a home, some furniture, food and not forgetting entertainment...
....and to read 'the thoughts of Chairman Posh...' which would be enough to send him to sleep... :!: :!:

;) ;) ;)
