Wainwright looks set to be a good replacement for Thommo, like Carl Baker as an out-and-out winger. Curtis and Blinkhorn seem to have improved from last season and I think a Blinkhorn-O'Carroll partnership will do well if they have enough time to gel in pre-season.

I think Parrish should start the next game at right-back, McCann didn't look comfortable at all.

I now regret putting a fiver on the game with my manager, a Preston fan :P

Thought he played well today. Anyone know more about him, eg. where he's come from?

Would like to see the guy given a chance at right back, 'cause on performances to date, McCann isn't any competition for Yates.

Thought Sammy may have gone for ex United Phil Marsh who was at Blackpool last season, now on trial at Bury and has scored 3 in as many games for them.

We need a striker without question. I understood that along with a goalkeeper and a central defender, that a striker was priority no1 this close season.....Sammy's own words!

There were six of us in the pressbox trying to figure out who went off for the three substitutes. No board put up.

And you thought YOU had problems!
