as it stands, Chester are below Grimsby and only nine points off relegation. Would love to see Bournemouth beat Accrington today!

Brilliant first half performance. Did have a couple of moments in the second half when we didn't want to pass to each other but then controlled it for the last 14 or 15 mins.

Well done Wayno - worked his bollox off!

Can't believe Howe didn't get man of the match

Another good performance, we did lose it on ocassions in the second half though.

Must say, i thought Chester's goal was fantastic. Just ripped us to pieces!

What is it about our second half performances of late.

I don't know what is said at half time, but yet another half when we defend far too deep.

Thankfully we had a 3 goal cushion from the first half, but had it only been 1-0 I think it could have been Lincoln all over again.

Jesus! What do they have to do to get a bit of praise?

3 -1 Job done. Double over Chester (a team we have taken 12 from 12 points) and we move up a place.

I would say that is a great performance.

Yes Mark...great result....but we can't close our eyes to the concerns of the second half!

If others disagree, fine...no problem with that....

It just seems that every silver lining has a cloud and there is a need to find fault for some.

Is raising a concern, finding fault?

I thought we played very well in the first and were full value for the 3-0 lead at least. But second half...?????

Interestingly I wasn't alone in being concerned.

Next up Rochdale....

A point there will do me fine.....mind you 3 would be even better.. :D :D :D

I couldnt believe todays game, first half we played some good stuff, well pleased with Neil's performance and 3 very good goals. Second half we were shit, did the usual thing of sitting back and let them come on to us.Bad pass from Neil led to there goal but how someone is allowed to run nearly 3/4 of the pitch and no one gets a challenge in is beyond me. After the first half i was looking forward to a repeat performance in the second but what a disapointment.

we won 3-1, yes
we played well, no

Even in the 1st half at times i didn't think we did.

3 points and +2 on the goal diff yes

But if i was a Chester fan going home tonight i would be asking why and how they lost?
Just as we did when coming back from Port Vale, sorry to be seen as putting a downer on things but its how i saw the game.

no i am not Ned either

We played better Tuesday and got a draw.

Today we played ok, but more importantly took our chances, which is something we've failed to do often this season.

Personally I think the lads came out for the second half thinking the game was won and were caught napping by Chester's eagerness to get the early goal back. If that's the case, then I'm sure Sammy will have highlighted it to the team.

After the early second half onslaught from them, the game settled into a bit of a scrappy affair, but there were still chances at either end.

As soon as they started running at us I thought oh god someone is running at us with pace were knakered and we wer eas they ran the length of the pitch and scored. We all know it's our biggest weakness that if teams run at us we're in trouble.

Guys

We won today 3 -1

What would you have said at half time 3 -0 up?

Did you think we were seriously in any danger of losing at that point? Did you want to risk any further injuries to the squad by trying to push for another goal? Was there anyone in the ground who seriously thought we were in danger of losing at half time?

Come on, think rationally of what the situation was for the game, what the situation was for the squad and would you have pushed the team to try and get three more?

Dont think so. It surprises me that the master tacticions we have think we should have done anything else than sit on a 3 - 0 lead in the second half. The Chester goal was a great goal but I am sure they will be seeing it as nothing less than a consolation goal.

We won the match 3 - 1

Try celebrating that fact.
