radio lancashire just said there will be a pitch inspection with no time mentioned,anyone know more

I'm crossing everything that's crossable. free this afternoon if the groundstaff need any help to get it on.

Same old problem,umbro end frozen,had a walk on the pitch about 11.30am,i would have said no chance then but hopefully another couple of hours might make a difference.Fingers cropssed.

i have been led to believe that straw is 1 of the best insulating products you can get, now this might sound totaly stupid but why cant the club purchase however number of bales it would take to cover that end of the pitch.

Straw is also highly combustible [sp], especially if it gets wet.


EDIT - for those raised eyebrows.

When wet it is liable to spontaneously combust, Dangerous Goods Class 4.1 un 1327


abit of straw/hay scattered wont spontaneously combust, the above refers to bales

According to the Lincoln web site the game is on tonight after passing a pitch inspection.
No mention on our website as yet !!!!
