All games 2-0 or 0-2 at the moment and if results stay as they are we are upto 14th I think. 14 points off the play-offs and 20 points above relegation.

We are only 17 points off the automatic places (with a game in hand) which is still closer than we are to relegation.

Hope we get a draw but expect it will be more like Chester.

Another long trip to Accy next week - we so need to get out of this sh!te division full of poor northern teams.

I have just looked through all 16 pages of the Brentford forum, very anti northern but above all critical, if anyone thinks this forum can be negative then take a look on there you would think they were about to be relegated not sitting in second place.

They do need to get out of this division, down to the Conference with a load of shandy drinkers if they can't handle coming further than Rickmansworth and have to battle against uz norven broots blatantly fouling their players at every opportunity

Was impressed with our clinical edge tonight, thought the overall play was very even or maybe slightly towards Brentford, but we did what was important and took our chances well. MacDonald looked a very tricky striker that we thankfully kept under wraps, but who knows may have formed a good partnership with Howe, who I hope hasn't sustained much of an injury.

A bit confused as to why we went to 4 central midfielders towards the end too, fair enough Stanley was pushed forward in the 'Gerrard role' but we could have used the substitution to get a bit of a run out for one of the strikers, as I assume it wasn't much of a plan for Aaron to actually come on, not that he had chance to do much anyway.

Anyway good performance, roll on Rochdale on Saturday!

What a difference and it was because of any major changes just the fact the same players tried to up the pace play the ball on the floor and play with more urgency and tempo so i can't understand why we haven't been doing that instead of been so slow and laboured like we have been.

Why do we always play better against better teams nearly all our wins are against teams in the top half.

Looks like Howe's hamstring went hope Edgy can fix him quickly or we will struggle without him he is our only outlet.

I thought it was a very good hard-working performance against a lively, if not overly impressive, Brentford side.

I liked the way we tried to spread the play accross the pitch, trying to use the wings. For me Howe was man of the match, he worked his socks off up front, but I did think Wainwright had one of his better games, particularly in the second half.

Great finish by Twissy. Howe's wasn't such a great finish, my Granny could have scored that one ;) Seriously, it was a brilliant run by Wainwright to get the ball in the six yard box where, for once we had a striker to tap home.

Not a scintillating, Rolls Royce of a performance, but certainly an encouraging one. Stark contrast to last Tuesday!

Well done lads!

Hope it's not serious, but he's got a rest this weekend anyway, he's got a suspension coming up after five bookings.
