I doubt you've got any evidence for your main point. The sale of the land was concluded a year ago and occupation is due in June 2010. So the premise is wrong to begin with.

As for your last line then I can only assume you know nothing about contract law. There would no way on this earth MFC would build a new stadium on a promise of money or possibility of the withdrawl of funds by Sainsburys.

Yes they did host Elton. And the fee not including additional funds and revenues to cover th costs of stewarding, catering etc. was £90,000 apparently.

Tickets started at £40 and there was room for a minimum 18,000 people. That's a base figure of £720,000. Platinum and VIP deals were available from £185 per person. Not a bad little earner.

Obviously that would be farewell to Christie Park and not their last tour, they've done that tour three times already!!

I think the new ground will give a boost to the club in the same way promotion has. I think a lot of the fair weather supporters will return and providing the team can perform, they will stay.

But maybe Im stating the bloody obvious...
