Pitch inspection at 9.30am GAME OFF GAME OFF

Postby quinny » Sat Jan 10, 2009 9:12 am

The club have just been informed that there will be a pitch inspection at Blundell Park at 9.30am after overnight frost. I am writing this on the coach travelling down to the game.

We will let fans know the outcome the moment we are told of the decision.

...as if it isn't bad enough the game being off, the fact that the team heard whilst in transit means the cost of the coach...or do Grimsby have to pay that?

Doubt we paid Shrewbury last season when the match was called off at the ground, or Darlington and Cheltenham for abandoned matches.

I seem to recall an official saying that the cost of travel would be for us to pay.

Maybe it's different if the opposition have already arrived.

Whoo-Hoo! Working in Warrington that Tue, Wed, Thurs! Warrington to Grimsby it is then (how far is that? Must be less than Morecambe to Grimsby!)
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Morecambe - Grimsby 168 miles,
Warrington - Grimsby 130 miles. ;)

That'll save me about 22 minutes...

...unless our police liaison officer is reading this, in which case...

That'll save me 40 minutes
