Not totally unexpected.

Just a pity that fans are unable to view due to a conference being held in the Wright and Lord suite whilst the afternoon match is underway. However those who have access to a 2nd floor Sponsors Box may be able to attend?

It's a pity the fans won't be able to view because it's a behind closed doors friendly, regardless of the W&L suites availability.
Hello! Hello! We are the Morecambe boys!

Might be a while before we know

"After threats of crowd disturbances resulted in the decision to play the match behind closed doors, it’s now been revealed that media will also be banned from the game."

"Despite Morecambe hosting the match at their Globe Arena, the Shrimps say they will refuse all press access “at the request of Blackpool FC”."

Let's hope the there is a 'mole' who will inform us of the result. I find this request from Blackpool totally unacceptable BUT accept that the need for another pre season game is of greater importance.

Have heard that Stoke took 2 of the young Blackpool stars from last season (wasn't aware that 'pool had any stars... ;) ) for their development squad and could be looking to loan out on a season long deal for at least one of them for him to gain further FL experience possibly in League 2.... :?: :?: :?:

A Blackpool fan has suggested using a Drone fitted with a camera to broadcast the match live....

One of the better suggestions coming from the the men in Tangerine.

The club usually take a dvd of all matches so maybe some highlights will eventually be released :?:

I'm sure I read somewhere that the Blackpool Gazette is banned by Oyston. That being the case, the Gazette is a sister paper to the Visitor so no surprise Oyston's have asked for no media coverage.

Why the hell are we bowing down to their every demand? This is OUR club, ffs! I've lost all respect for both Blackpool FC and their fans through this debacle. Hopefully they'll drop deep into non-league obscurity as soon as possible...

We should have told Blackpool to stuff their media blackout request. Why should MFC be dictated to by what the opposition want?? Should have moved the Carnforth Rangers game to the Globe and gone 50/50 with them on takings

Does media blackout include the highlights that the club normally place on youtube the day after the game?

Also maybe worth waiting till the Liverpool match when some of the youngsters coming to the Globe, especially Jack Dunn. Think he played for Cheltenham this year scoring 3 goals in 5 appearances. Could be worth a loan deal if Jim/Ken don't find anybody else. Liverpool lad so guaranteed a lifted with the rest of the team. ;)

Kicked off at 2.56pm.

Roche Beels Paz Edwards Willo Kenyon Goodall c Murphy Mullers Moly Barkhuizen, subs Thompson AJ Flemo Doyle Wildig Bondswell Kev Devitt T Riallist.

Good start by the Shrimps, Kenyon side footed wide after a good Moly cross, on 3 mins.
Redshaw hooked back post centre back across goal but Edwards cleared the danger on 8.
Barkhuizen was released by Moly and got to the byline on 9 but only crossed for a corner.
On 10 two efforts on target from the Tangerines, first was dealt with by Baz, second one was destined for the bottom corner but Paz deflected it wide.
On 14 Beeley overlapped after good possession and yet again we failed to deliver the cross, corner was cleared!
15 mins Blackpool get in behind on the left, and the cut back is blocked for a corner which Baz grasps. It's a end to end stuff.
Cullen and Redshaw one two leads to Cullen finishing in the bottom left corner, good move and they look to have a good understanding, 0-1 18 mins. We were caught a little flat footed.
A curling cross from Moly deceives the Seasiders keeper who just flicks it wide as it looked to sneak in the top corner on 20mins.
On 22 Willo has a stinger from 20 yards parried at full stretch, good set up by Barky!!
27 gone and a nice move from Murphy releases Moly who beats his man on the left but shoot over from 15 yards.
On 29 Barky keeps a ball in and skins his man on the right, cuts in and his curling low cross just needs a touch but is cleared. 30 mins, Barky again has shot deflected for a corner which is cleared from the front post.
It's all one way since the goal!!
Another effort on goal on 32 from Barky is saved.
Good defending after a crisp move forces a Shrimps corner, Moly the man challenged on 37.
Moly has another effort straight down the keepers throat on 40 we have had all the play but lacked a cutting edge!!
It gets a a bit edgy as a late challenge on Murphy, over the ball, the ref insists on a sub being made and the perpetrator is subbed.
It's Half time, it's still 1-0 to Blackpool
