Well it looks as though Padraig is scoring for fun to date at Grimsby.

Wonder if it is because he's being played in his true position of out and out striker rather than stuck on the wings.... :?: :?: :?:

For me if he'd been still on our books and played as an out and out striker we wouldn't be in the search for a striker.

He is a poacher and we chose not to use him in that manner, however this is history. No offence but scoring against Gainsborough will be a tad easier than Portsmouth,
Oxford or Cambridge.

"I didn't go yesterday but watching the highlights it looks like Marcus Marshall had a pretty good 2nd half and was involved in most of our decent moves."

shall we get him back as well

Maybe its because hes playing in friendlies against teams at least two divisions below us.

I'm sure if you lined up a string of games for Paul Mullin in play in against Conference North opposition and he would bag a hat full.

You hope we get rid of Mullin to Conf North or you hope we get relegated to Conf North? Shameful.

There you go CC, a first half hat trick for Mullin.

I've posted on numerous occasions this pre season that Mullers has the potential to be one of our clubs leading strikers. Now he has to do it in League 2....

So off the back of scoring 4 goals in a 45 minutes in a pre season fixture your conclusion is that "he has to do it in League 2" yet Amond scores a couple of goals for a team in the league below and you come to the conclusion that he would solve all our problems up front.

Others will disagree, but in my opinion if Amond had been played in his natural position in the centre and not on the wing on too many occasions then he would have been our leading goal scorer.....and the situation we now find ourselves in may not have arisen.
