Lancaster v Blackpool

Sadly they might have to cancel this one as the cost of stewarding a friendly might not be worth it.

Perhaps FCOM could get in touch with whoever is leading these protests and ask them to keep off the pitch? I am all for fans protest, as long as it doesn't ruin the day for other fans or cost our club money.

How much of a game has to be played before you can't get a refund?

As a club do we get in trouble with the FA if Blackpool fans enter the pitch even though it's only a friendly? If not then surely we don't need increased security and just accept an invasion is inevitable. Just a shame for the fans who won't see a full match.

FA site says 60% refund up to half time, then 40% if abandoned in 2nd half.
Don't know how FA rules apply to friendlies

As long as you have the ticket you can claim from the FA - so the document says

If you mean the abandoned game at Accy last year, there was no tickets and the game was replayed. The Blackpool games won't be replayed as per last game of last season.

If they do it for the first few league games and security wasn't stepped up to stop many getting on, I can see the FA making all their games behind closed doors. Could even give the opposition 3-0 wins!

I wonder if the police could throw them off the pitch for trespassing or something!

If I remember correctly they didn't give tickets. I'm assuming nobody contacted the FA at the time, would have been interesting to see what action they would have taken.

Correct Chris, the refunds are for one off games. When the game is replayed your ticket entitles you entry. How it works with Accy and others that don't issue tickets goodness knows

I would assume we could get in to trouble as the game is still under FA control. For example, if a player picks up a straight red card for violent conduct they will get a three match ban when the league begins. Also, entering the field of play is a criminal offence, so football banning orders can presumably be issued for pitch invasions at friendlies. More concerning is that there could eventually be actual physical confrontations.

Play it behind closed doors or home fans only.

So how did that work out then?

To be honest I don't think that idea (good as it is) would work, if you read their forums their fans all have different views re the Lancaster protest, and it was an unofficial one as well....a lot of their own fans are condeming the actions of the 20 or so who entered the field of play, others applaud it......I would call the game off, no point giving any of their nutters a platform to air their greivences...I do agree with their frustrations re the Oystons and they can protest all they want at Bloomfield Rd but to inflict these actions at away games is not imho helping them.....

I'd certainly be looking to get it called off too in all honesty.

How many 'Pool fans will go to Blyth on a Tuesday night to protest?

Not many.

How many will potentially come here.....
