Lovely gesture for a club legend.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Thats a lovely picture that brings a tear to the eye

As has been said Charlie was a lovely bloke and I honestly can't ever recall seeing him without that big beaming smile on his face

Superb dangerous winger who tore into defences and was a hero for so many young kids when they were discovering Morecambe FC at Christie Park for the first time.

Another time. Another era.

God bless you Charlie. You were a true gent and a true legend.
Thats why you won't be forgotten

This just sums up our club for me. It's what other people do not understand when they ask "Why Morecambe?"

I never met or or Saw Charlie, But from what I've read he seems to have been a great player and person.

R.I.P. Charlie.

I just hope that it doesn't take as long to put something in place at The Globe to remember such a great man. It took bloody ages for Christie Way..... :(

I'd like to think that the club would rename the North Stand, The Charlie Lea Stand. He deserves to watch over his successors on the field of play rather than ( in my opinion) have some bar named after him.

:?: :?: :?:

That is a superb photo and a truly wonderful gesture. It makes me proud to be a Morecambe fan.
