Accrington on a Saturday and Cambridge away on a Tuesday are plain daft and show no consideration for players and fans. Getting home around 4a.m. after a long distance mid-week trip makes no sense.

Clubs are lucky to get even a bit of travel courtsey now because they are too many parameters, mainly policing, that affect who can play where.

At this level, it shouldn't be a major problem. But a big one is the fact Blackburn and Burnley are not allowed to be at home on the same day, which knocks on to every other fixture. Nightmare for the fixture compilers, must be near impossible.

Carlisle are away to Plymouth on Tuesday 18th August. :o That must be about as bad as it can get.

At least it's in the holiday season so many who'd go and stay over still will.

That should read...'at least they will get the agony over early in the season of a defeat to the Shrimps at The Globe... '

But we should get to play them before they get all their loan players in and we usually start the season well but just go of the boil before we play them so reasons to be optimistic ;)
