I wonder if this is a deliberate ploy to not be playing games at 3pm in the middle of Summer. Having all our pre season games in the evening being played in cooler temperatures may be beneficial.

With July being height of wedding season, I would imagine that they would make more money from them than a pre season game? Not sure but might be a reason? Also lots of people do other things with family etc at this time of year at weekends
