4 in 47, would hope we could do better.

No longer a player, but our old friend Tony Roberts is on the move...

Former Southport Captain and midfield general 22 year old Luke George who many thought was destined to join a FL club has opted to join Chester despite the attentions of former manager Gary Brabin at Tranmere and a certain John Coleman at Accy Stanley.

George was mentioned on SVs as being a possible target for our club but his decision to once again opt for Conference football suggests a lack of ambition in my mind although it's quite possible that Chester are able to pay him the sort of money that Accy and Tranmere could not afford.

As much as I'd like us to develop younger talent ourselves, I feel that the signings we have made to date show an ambition to go to the next level at our club which could be improved with the addition of a proven striker although at the moment that seems highly unlikely. :(

You never know, pre season may provided us with a few surprises both inwards and outwards... :?: :?: :?:

Newport think so.... interesting move when Newport have cut their budget by £500K to £900K, as their Euromillions Chairman ties a knot in his wallet
