despite fantastic signings, what suggest we could play attacking football and Boss teams, I feel we will still set up not to concede goals and just snatch points.

I expect a good start and then a lets not get carried away speech and another Mansfield scenario, by tactically setting up like we're playing Barcalona in an away leg.

Think positive that with the signings Jim & Ken have made especially in midfield that we will be a force to be reckoned with. Best midfield I have seen for ages. Still think we could do with a striker who can find the net regular then all systems go.

Well George a bit more realistic view but don't be too hard on Jim , he may have learned from those mistakes from last season and wont change from a winning formula .
Lets hope that if we have another good start and it continues a bit longer than last season , that the people of this town show some faith in Jim and get their arses down to the ... stadium and don't run away when we have a couple of bad results .

Any higher than last season would be good , but im hoping for a big improvement in the F.A Cup

I for one will have a whinge when we play negative and get my ears bent for doing so ;) , but I will still be there supporting the team (hopefully) till the end of the season . :

Lampard and Gerrard were a good midfield on paper, lets see how our lot gel . Totally agree that we need a striker though.

I agree. Also as we fully know the ref can bugger our season up when we think we are doing well, on top of injuries. My only concern is that Barkhuizen doesn't look a prolific scorer, so we need a Ian Cain or Justin Jackson type of player to play with Mullin or Redshaw. Halftimeresult mentioned Aaron McClean who may be a worth a punt.

As posted on other thread re Barkhuizen.
A dozen at relegated Hereford; give him the service and he will score.
In Jimbo we trust and he was quick enough to get him do clearly sees more than we did when he was here on loan for a month.Pool fans were sorry to see him leave and thought not given a fair shot (played at full back FFS).

I will wait to see the friendlies and get a feel of how the new players are settling in before a prediction but we do look much stronger.

Well if what Jim has said about bringing 6 new players in then his shopping trolley will just about be full for the new season, unless Redshaw or Edwards get sold for decent money

A sensible shout. Some good signings in the right areas but I imagine there will be other teams with bigger squads and more goals in them that will make a promotion push a step too far for us.

Lets hope for some more entertaining footy at home, a 3rd round appearance in the cup 200-300 fans returning on a regular basis. Should be a good one... :D

Providing we do keep redshaw which I think we will, with our new midfield the front two should be getting some excellent and regular service. Both could end up bagging 20+ this coming season. Not to mention what the rest of midfield chip in with.

Definitely too early to predict yet. If we sell Jack and miss out on getting a good replacement we are going nowhere. Wait until the transfer window closes and we can then make some more informed estimations.

Calm down, there are 2 months to go yet, need to wait for the injury situation etc before my prediction
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

I'll go with a 9th position. I still feel our downfall will be when it hits January and our squad is picking up injuries and suspensions we will not have any funds to bring in reinforcements.
